Sandisk XD good as Fuji XD
Review of Sandisk XD CARD XD 128 128 MB by
toobusyia2002
Advantages: Better value for the $$ than the brand name card
Disadvantages: I found no disadvantages in using this product
...Before going on vacation I wanted to pick up some extra XD cards for my Fuji A200 digital camera. In comparing the prices, the Sandisk XD 128 card was priced 33% less than the Fuji XD 128 card. I was impressed by the protective plastic storage case provided with my card purchase. The case fit easily inside my small camera case and could be labeled with picture information for indexing or archiving if I so desired. During my vacation I took photos using both cards, the Sandisk XD 128 and the Fuji XD16 that came with my camera. The storage capacity of the Sandisk XD 128 was approximately 400 pictures set on the "FINE" setting. I saw no difference in picture quality or color when I downloaded my pictures upon my return home and noticed no difference in camera performance during use of the Sandisk XD 128 while on vacation. I would...

Fuji's XD Memory Card
Review of Fujifilm XD-Picture Card 1024 MB by
lyndsayw
Advantages: Great choice of memory size
Disadvantages: Superseded
...The Fuji XD Picture Card I bought with the Fuji FinePix F700 camera was the 512 MB version this allows a good amount of photo’s to be taken depending what mode your camera is set to quality wise the greater the quality the more space that is needed.
These are a slim design 20X25X1.7mm with a weight of 2 grams.
The XD Picture Card comes in 4 memory sizes they are: 256MB, 512 MB, 1GB and 2 GB cards they are small and compact and can be read by most card readers. The prices for this range from £11.95 to £38.95 new from http://www.askdirect.co.uk
These are still a great card for great camera’s the quick research I done by having a look on E bay for some second hand cards reveal that these cards are cheap 2 purchase and the cameras are cheap as well especially for the quality that you are getting.
All you need to do to install these cards...

Store your Memories on the XD
Review of Fujifilm XD CARD 16 MB by
tac20
Advantages: Stylish, small size, reliable
Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands, small capacity
...The 16MB Fujifilm XD card comes free with all the Fujifilm digital cameras I have come into contact with or know about. Basically its a memory card that slots into the camera to store a minimal amount of images. Seeing as Fujifilm digital cameras do not come with any storage space on the camera itself, the 16 MB XD card is ideal for new users who have just just bought or received a camera and want to start taking photos straight away. On a 4Megapixel camera the average size of a good quality photograph is around about 1MB (maybe slightly over), so this card will hold roughly 16 images, or more at a lower level of picture quality.
The physical design of the XD card is one of the main selling points, particularly for the larger capacity cards. They are very small compared to most memory cards (I'd guess 2/3 of the size) and are ultra...

aiwa on a new level
Review of Aiwa XD-DW1 by
jakanemo
Advantages: high tech sound and video
Disadvantages: to many wires
...the new product from aiwa brings a totaly new prospective on how to percive dvd technology. the sound is superb an so is the the video. the fact is that this new dvd player is one of the best of its kind. if your are able to configurate the aiwa xd-dw1-prtable dvd player with other high quality products it should give you all of the benefits that dvd can offer. the only trouble you ight get with this product is that there are too many wires and the instalation is not easy as it might seem on the first look. overall it is a fine piece of technology that everyone should be able to afford.

'x'tra with xD
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 64MB by
andersonfamily
Advantages: Cheaper than certain SD/Memorystick cards of same price.
Disadvantages: Compatibility
...~Introduction~
After buying my first proper digital camera last year(I used CooliCams before), I knew I needed memory cards. The choice of my FinePix A210(see op) over other camera's was partly because it came with a free gift, a 64MB xD-card. Naturally, it would be pointless unless my camera used xD, it did.
Memory cards are where certain devices like digital cameras and certain MP3 players store their files/content. Memory cards are also a growing way of transferring files between computers, saying both have a way of reading them.
~The storage~
Is good you can fit around 90 on at 3.2MP, still you're better off getting a bigger capacity for slightly more.
~The speed~
Though depending on your PC's and reader speed, it is rather fast. I took me about one minute, on a PC running many tasks(anti-virus, browser, TV viewer) to transfer...

XD? Xcelent!
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 64MB by
Credance100
Advantages: Simple to use, Very compact.
Disadvantages: None to speak of.
...Fujifilms version of digital picture storage cards is the XD card. I bought a 64mb XD card to go alongside my A210 Fujifilm digital camera, it cost around 14 pounds when I bought it last July.
I was shocked by how small it actually was, its only a couple of milimetres thick, and is around 2 x 3 cm in area.
The card itself is simple to use, you simply open the hatch on your camera, and insert it in the indicated slot. Its as simple as that.
The card can hold different numbers of photographs depending on the set level of quality, specifically the number of megapixels. At 3 Megapixels it can hold around 25 photos, at 2 Megapixels around 50, and so on.
In certain models of Fujifilm digital cameras, you can also create short videos, then store them on the XD card. The 64mb model can hold a maximum of 20 seconds of footage.
If you do need...

Just another memory card...
Review of Olympus MXD-256P XD CARD XD 256 256 MB by
Dj_Ang
Advantages: Good write / read speeds
Disadvantages: Price, Low capacity
...The Olympus XD picture card is good in many ways, yet it is in the end just another memory card.
It has high read and write speeds, and supports the panoramic function in Olympus cameras (not that I regularly use that function)!
The capacity of the card could cause problems when used in a camera that takes high resolution photos, although I have never really found this too much of an issue. If I was going on holiday for any great period of time I would buy a memory card of a higher capacity (XD cards are made in up to 1GB). Another downside is that as XD cards are newer than many other card types, they are quite expensive - although their price is dropping quite quickly, and good deals can be found on the internet. Another problem with them being relatively new is that they are not supported by that many card readers, although...

happy memories.
Review of Olympus M-XD 128 P XD 128 128 MB by
jacy
Advantages: economical,user friendly.
Disadvantages: none
...Being quite new to the high-tech world of the digital camera, I have to say I am very pleased with the results i get from using the olympus xd 128mb picture card in my camera. With the large memory of 997 images at 0.3m, it allows me to take many pictures and allows me to learn by my all too frequent mistakes. I find that this size of image is ideal for sharing my happy memories with friends and family by email. My family and I also find the 128mb card ideal for taking short movies, we get a lot of pleasure reliving birthday partys,BBQs,holidays,Christmas, etc. It is a wonderful way to keep up to date with friends and family who live abroad. The 128mb card is ideal for my family and myself,it`s economical and user friendly. I have taken some wonderful photo prints from the picture card.Happy snapping!...

Good TV, even more so now its cheaper
Review of LG 26LC55 by
prosumer
Advantages: easy to use. decent sound and picture
Disadvantages: freeview picture could be better. good but there are better TV`s
...We got this from a catalogue as it was the best TV within in our budget (been at catalogue prices!). and we didn't go far wrong!. It has good sound (witch is unusual for a TV) that is clear and detailed. Plenty of inputs and a good picture (despite its modest contrast ratio) what I liked about it the most is the easy to use menu that looks very flash, inputs can be named and there are plenty of options to mess around with.
This TV has LG`s XD engine picture enhancement witch is is very flexible. everything you plug in can have its own settings so for insistence you can have XD contrast enhancement on for your DVD player and off for your VCR. The XD colour enhancement can make some colours brighter and more vivid but it can unnaturally alter some others.
the only real criticism is that the picture from the inbuilt freeview isn't great...

Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb)
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 128MB by
offspringy
Advantages: Fast, Tiney Physical Size, Decent storage for price
Disadvantages: Not as wide spread as SD + Compact Flash
...The Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb) is a very small (aprox 1.5cm) Memory card used in most Fujifilm cameras.
It was developed jointly between Fujifilm and Olympus to create the worlds smallest and very fast memory card, which Fuji dropped into their camera's to promote them.
The XD picture cards have had an update in recent months where they got even faster, and can be distinguished from the older models by their blue writing (there are 2 versions of XD card, normal and fast) the older card is black with gold writing.
The card i bought (128mb) holds enough for small cameras (1-3mpx) but anything over that its a struggle to squeeze all your images onto it, i get on average 30-50 images before i have to dump my memory onto a hard drive (at 6mpx).
Price when it was released was around £50 (which unfortunately i paid) you can get 1GB...
