...After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake original lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price. I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. ...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

Most natural tan!

Advantages: Natural tan, long lasting, easy to apply

...I use this product regularly and think it is the best fake tan of them all! My best results have been when I exfoliate before and moisturise 3 hours before applying the tan. So I recommend doing this before you fake tan. Most of the time I skip this step as it still does acheive excellent results. I think it is important to leave 3 hours after moisturising for the skin to soak up the moisture otherwise this can make your tan not develop as deep. The fake tan goes on brown so you can see where you are putting it a lot of the other fake tans out there go on colourless therefore you can't see where you have put it on and how heavy you have put it on. If I buy a new bottle I find the pump difficult to get the fake tan out however it does get going eventually. It does go on streaky however aslong I cover the area with fake tan...

Is it better? Let's see. ST TROPEZ TINTED SELF-TANNING LOTION The bottle for this lotion is quite different to the mousse. This lotion is presented in a smart, thick white plastic bottle with a black pump action nozzle. It proclaims itself as being 'Step 3' (and we all know what that means!) St Tropez like to make out that only their Step 1 and Step 2 could POSSIBLY precede Step 3 but I disagree - Step 1 is essentially just an exfoliator and Step 2 is a moisturiser. I would imagine that anyone willing to fork out money on a fake tan probably owns AT LEAST one exfoliator and moisturiser already...
