Slight Improvement on 8400 Phaser

Advantages: does duplex
Disadvantages: not quick enough, now behind with the times

...As a have stated in my previous review, I have three colour printers at work, one super duper one, a second being relatively good and my back up plan which was my last review. The Xerox Phaser 8560 I have had for two years and decided to keep when I recently upgraded to my super duper printer that is my pride and joy when I am in creative mode at work. The Xerox Phaser 8560 replaced the 8400 a couple of years ago and we saw several improvements to the machine as you normally do, better going forwards than backwards. The Phaser 8560 is a great printer and again takes crayon as opposed to ink that give it that excellent finish when producing reletively professional documents. The sytling of the machine is very similar to that of the 8400, it is exactly the same size, and has the same control panel on the top of it which is good...

Miami Ink!

Advantages: Interesting to watch, loads of cool tattoos to look at
Disadvantages: Often I find myself wanting a tattoo done by Chris Garver but unfortunately I don't live in Americ

...Miami Ink, if you haven't heard about it already, is a TV show about a tattoo parlour in Miami (if you hadn't already guessed!). The series began in July 2005, introducing four eager tattooists, Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver and Darren Brass, as well as Ami's apprentice, Yoji Harada. Throughout the episodes new tattooists enter and go, the most famous probably being Kat Von D who turned the studio around with her beautiful portrait tattoos. Each show lasts about an hour long, and during that time we see a variety of clients enter the studio to get their tattoos. The guys who run/work in the studio are all fairly young, heavily tattooed and have been through different walks of life. Most of them have spent their lives tattooing, so working in the shop you can tell means a lot to them. Each artist has a different personality...

Review of Miami Ink - Series 1 - Complete (Box Set) (DVD)

THINK INK!

Advantages: Easily obtainable, good value, recyclable.
Disadvantages: Really just the idea of it not being a genuine new original!

...MY HISTORY WITH INK CARTRIDGES: From the time I bought my first printer, I have really had nothing but problems when it has come to keeping them supplied with ink! The brand named cartridges generally contain less ink for your money and so they need either need replacing more frequently, or you pay considerably more. My first printer, an Epson, was bought along with bottles of refill ink and a syringe to inject each colour into the colour cartridge, and a bottle of black for the other one. The salesman in PC World assured me it was easy? well it was the first time, apart from the mess! then the second time I just flooded the printer, and I had to buy new cartridges. My second printer a Lexmark, had the same thing happen and I eventually scrapped it! Now I have a HP PSE 1317 inkjet 3 in 1, and I love it, but the ink cartridges...

Review of Tesco Remanufactered Ink Cartridges

Xerox 8265 eco-solvent large format printer

Advantages: Good service & support, great print quality
Disadvantages: Too many mechanical problems - not reliable

.... One can easily switch off by accident while performing certain tasks. - Xerox sells a 220cc & 440cc ink cartridge. While the 220cc fits nicely benind an enclosed space, the 44cc ink cartrige sticks out by 10" outside the casing, and is not protected by a closed door, One can accidentaly knock against the cartridges that really protrude from the machine and thus damage the inside connection. Buying 2 times 220 cc cost more that 1 440 cc!! - Troublesome front roll windup as printed media comes out. A counter weight system that activates sensor to wind up paper has to be locked and unlocked everytime it is used compared to simply switching on and off a winding mechanism as with other large format printers. - Daily & weekly maintenance required access to constrained spaces with cleaning kit supplied by Xerox. ...I have always been a big fan of Tattoo art work, and I often caught an odd episode here and there of Miami Ink on Discovery Real Time and quite enjoyed the show. Having only seen about 7 episodes of the TV show which were all from either season two or three, I decided to browse the internet to see if I could pick up a cheap season 1 box set on DVD, I was quite expecting to pay about £30-40 for the box set because there are 20 episodes in total for series one of Miami Ink. I was browsing the internet for the box set looking for the cheapest price available and found that Play.com was the cheapest by far. I only paid £12.99 for the box set which is almost three times cheaper than some other online retailers selling the Miami Ink box set as they were all priced well above £30. ...reports of such cartridges, but I suspect the whole quality, i.e. ink and ink well, is substandard so I’m going to buy originals I think! The print quality given by this Docuprint is very acceptable for a 2-year-old printer, and is certainly of a good quality. Obviously it is not of laser quality, but then what do you expect? From the printer control panel you can specify various options to make your print outs better or worse using such options as ink saver (worse), high quality (better) and photo quality (better still I assume but only if using the best paper around!) Recommended, if you can find one in as good condition as mine is! I would certainly look at a new Xerox in the future, as this model is a breeze to use! The only downside is that it can be a little noisy, but this is of little concern since the CD players...

Xerox 6100

Advantages: Easy to use, inexpensive ink, print quality
Disadvantages: slow to warm up, slightly loud

...I purchased this printer for the office a couple of months ago and it is a real winner. Works 12 hours a day, is quite quick in setting up new pages, offers much clearer print quality than I had expected for a colour laser printer of this price range, it is easy to use, didn't need time consuming training sessions ( easy double side printing too) and works well as part of the office net with four other PCs printing through it. More important perhaps is that the original replacement ink cartridges are reasonably proced too and that the ink cartridges last relatively long ( we print our logo together with the text or report so quite a lot o ink is used ). As negative point I would point to the fact that the 6100 needs quite a long time to warm up and that it does create quite a high level of noise. In any case I have since...
