Xerox 8265 eco-solvent large format printer

Advantages: Good service & support, great print quality
Disadvantages: Too many mechanical problems - not reliable

.... One can easily switch off by accident while performing certain tasks. - Xerox sells a 220cc & 440cc ink cartridge. While the 220cc fits nicely benind an enclosed space, the 44cc ink cartrige sticks out by 10" outside the casing, and is not protected by a closed door, One can accidentaly knock against the cartridges that really protrude from the machine and thus damage the inside connection. Buying 2 times 220 cc cost more that 1 440 cc!! - Troublesome front roll windup as printed media comes out. A counter weight system that activates sensor to wind up paper has to be locked and unlocked everytime it is used compared to simply switching on and off a winding mechanism as with other large format printers. - Daily & weekly maintenance required access to constrained spaces with cleaning kit supplied by Xerox. Review of Xerox 8265

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

Valiant Prints of Xerox

Advantages: Compact, Economical, Simple to set up and use
Disadvantages: Around £30 to replace all the ink.

The print quality given by this Docuprint is very acceptable for a 2-year-old printer, and is certainly of a good quality. Obviously it is not of laser quality, but then what do you expect? From the printer control panel you can specify various options to make your print outs better or worse using such options as ink saver (worse), high quality (better) and photo quality (better still I assume but only if using the best paper around!) Recommended, if you can find one in as good condition as mine is! I would certainly look at a new Xerox in the future, as this model is a breeze to use! The only downside is that it can be a little noisy, but this is of little concern since the CD players...

The benefit of using Original HP inkjet print cartridges is that they offer consistent print quality and reliable performance.With the HP 350 you can expect "archival-quality documents that resist fading for decades" thanks to HP Vivera Ink. Although HP print cartridges are coming down in price you can still expect to pay a lot more than other substitute brands. The real question is whether the extra money is worth it. With some of the alternative products on the market today I am inclined to believe you can the same quality for less money. Many alternative ink cartridges contain more ink than official HP cartridges, however the problem with these cartridges is not always being sure of the quality of the product you are buying, nor the reliabilty...

Xerox 6100

Advantages: Easy to use, inexpensive ink, print quality
Disadvantages: slow to warm up, slightly loud

...I purchased this printer for the office a couple of months ago and it is a real winner. Works 12 hours a day, is quite quick in setting up new pages, offers much clearer print quality than I had expected for a colour laser printer of this price range, it is easy to use, didn't need time consuming training sessions ( easy double side printing too) and works well as part of the office net with four other PCs printing through it. More important perhaps is that the original replacement ink cartridges are reasonably proced too and that the ink cartridges last relatively long ( we print our logo together with the text or report so quite a lot o ink is used ). As negative point I would point to the fact that the 6100 needs quite a long time to warm up and that it does create quite a high level of noise. In any case I have since...

The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert
Disadvantages: Black comes out green! Runs out quickly VERY Quickly!

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

  Xerox M750 built like a tank

Advantages: Cheap running costs, separate ink tanks, fairly fast.
Disadvantages: A cheap and easily broken paper out tray, some small errors from time to time.

L?espion I needed a printer capable of transferring my pictures from my computer onto paper, better than my aging Hewlett Packard Deskjet 400 was capable of. I was very tempted by some of the cheap but fairly well reviewed Lexmark printers. One shop were able to sell them at an amazing £30, with a specification similar to some of the well known brands. I was very tempted, until I looked into the running costs of such a machine. The original Lexmark cartridges were £25.99 for a black cartridge and £27.99 for a colour cartridge. This to me seemed ridiculous, as you could buy another printer for nearly the same money! For these they would pay us £2.50 for Lexmark or £1.50 for Hewlett Packard - but only if they are original, and used once!! The price list includes prices for Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Xerox, Cannon and Epson (with the Epson, Canon and Xerox being Compatible Cartridges and the Hewlett Packard and Lexmark being remanufactured. To give you an idea of the prices - Hewlett Packard £13.95 to £16.95, Lexmark £16.95 to £19.95, Epson £3.95 to £10.95, Canon £1.95 to £3.95, or £4.95 for Black set of three and £6.45 for colour set of three for BJC60/70/80, the list also says that there is a four for the price of three on Canons, Xerox £4.95. They fit MOST of the hp printer range, but not all, Cheap ish, as far as ink cartidges go, not a bad price at all, and to be honest they do last a fair while, so the value for money is good Quality, not the best, but certainly more than adequate for good quality photos, i have always liked hp printers, for their quality of print, hence why i chose mine this time There isnt much more i can say about it to be honest, if you want a nice quality printer, choose one with this ink cartridge, nice price, nice quality, good product, i would recommend it. Ill give it a 5, i would give it a four, because the quality isnt the best available, but for the money, reliability, and time they last, they deserve a five....
