Slight Improvement on 8400 Phaser

Advantages: does duplex
Disadvantages: not quick enough, now behind with the times

...As a have stated in my previous review, I have three colour printers at work, one super duper one, a second being relatively good and my back up plan which was my last review. The Xerox Phaser 8560 I have had for two years and decided to keep when I recently upgraded to my super duper printer that is my pride and joy when I am in creative mode at work. The Xerox Phaser 8560 replaced the 8400 a couple of years ago and we saw several improvements to the machine as you normally do, better going forwards than backwards. The Phaser 8560 is a great printer and again takes crayon as opposed to ink that give it that excellent finish when producing reletively professional documents. The sytling of the machine is very similar to that of the 8400, it is exactly the same size, and has the same control panel on the top of it which is good...

Review of Xerox Phaser 8560DN

An all singing, all dancing printer

Advantages: cheap, reliable, good quality print outs, compact
Disadvantages: nothing springs to mind as being a disadvantage as such

...If you are looking to purchase a new printer may I be so bold to suggest that you stop your search now and look no further than the Xerox Phaser 6110? No you say, ok, why I don't I explain why you should listen. I work from home, and have been using the Phaser 6110 now for 6 months to mainly print of bulk letter projects, colour charts and general pages from the internet. I would say that my printing is probably above average, sometimes printing over 500 pages a day. Since I have owned the printer, it has only needed one routine service and two replacement toner cartridges, so in its favour it has reliability. In printer terms this is the dogs bollox !!

Advantages: fab print quality - up to 36 pages per minute in colour low noise - collates - cartridges last for months
Disadvantages: cost

...The Xerox Phaser 6350DP has stolen my heart as well as my the wallet of my boss. This was purchased at the start of the year for our office and is linked to a network of 6 PCs. The rationale about purchasing such a machine was left in the hands of others so I cannot comment on what they were looking for in detail. All I know is they wanted a fast coour printer. Installation was very easy and no drivers were needed be installed on our individual PCs, the network automatically detected it. To use the printer the computer must have an operating system more advanced than Windows 98. Review of Xerox Phaser 6350DP

Phaser 6180n in use

Advantages: Fast, economical,good for pictures, easy to connect to a network
Disadvantages: size, paper tray hard to open if kept on the floor

...I needed a colour printer which did not require expensive ink cartridges every 90 pages or so. I choose the Xerox 6180N which cost me under £200. It is very economical. it prints all types of paper formats and is very fast. The network facility works well with my 6 computers on the network and seems to accept documents from one computer running SuSe Linux The toners can be expensive , but firms like Toner Giant offer very good compatibles. The downside is the size, it has a large footprint and is very tall, and can only take 250 sheets in the standard tray, and I am loathed to buy an expensive second tray. It is not suitable as a home printer, but would be good for a home office or small business. Saying that , it does produce very good pictures when using mid range photo papers designed for colour laser printers. Anyone printing...

My New Pride & Joy at Work

Advantages: great colour, fast, takes all weights and sizes of paper
Disadvantages: smells at the moment

Xerox 8265 eco-solvent large format printer

Advantages: Good service & support, great print quality
Disadvantages: Too many mechanical problems - not reliable

...We are a studio based in Montreal, Canada. This is the 1 place I found where I can post a review on this printer. As rated, this product has poorly designed and hence I would never recommend a xerox large format printer after having been acquainted with 2 of them. Professionals are much better off with HP that are superior and quite more reliable. Here are the flaws I have to point out: - Mechanics that renders the daily use annoying: rear load of media requires a lot more working area - type of rear load not precise since printing a 10 foot ot more banner can get skewed at the end if media is not loaded completely straght into printer. Hence a non print margin of .5 inches can narrow down to nothing from start to end of print - "on" & "off" button is ridiculously positioned next to other function buttons on main interface...

Xerox 6100

Advantages: Easy to use, inexpensive ink, print quality
Disadvantages: slow to warm up, slightly loud

...I purchased this printer for the office a couple of months ago and it is a real winner. Works 12 hours a day, is quite quick in setting up new pages, offers much clearer print quality than I had expected for a colour laser printer of this price range, it is easy to use, didn't need time consuming training sessions ( easy double side printing too) and works well as part of the office net with four other PCs printing through it. More important perhaps is that the original replacement ink cartridges are reasonably proced too and that the ink cartridges last relatively long ( we print our logo together with the text or report so quite a lot o ink is used ). As negative point I would point to the fact that the 6100 needs quite a long time to warm up and that it does create quite a high level of noise. In any case I have since...

The best printer I have ever used.

Advantages: Stunning print quality, fast, easy to use, takes varied stock

...You may see that previously I had a Tally 8006 in my office. When I wrote the review for that I was considering upgrading. Well now I've done just that and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. After much consideration I purchased the Xerox Phaser 8400DP. The spec was what drew me to this particular printer. Duplex as standard, solid colour technology, ability to take card stock and fast print time. At around £1000 this printer might seem expense but in this case it's worth every penny. After warm up, which is little slow, the printer is super fast, churning out copies (including colour) at an incredible speed. Despite this, the quality of the print is just stunning. This appears to be down to the solid colour technology that is used. Run glossy paper through the machine on full colour prints and the final product...

...The Xerox Phaser 6125vn comes from a long line of thoroughbreds, Xerox are experts at turning out solid printers and they even look good. The print quality is more than adequate and there print speed is ok too. This printer is great for small offices, Estate Agents seem to like them and I can see why, they are reliable and ideal for printing house info with colour pictures of "nice fixer uppers". There are a couple of drawbacks however, Xerox toner is not cheap so running costs can be a little on the high side, also getting this printer repaired once its out of warrantee can be frustrating, Xerox will repair but there prices go through the roof and getting parts is an expensive and torturous ordeal if you want to fit them yourself, I have to order bits from France and it can take up to 14 days. Good in its day!!

Advantages: quality prints
Disadvantages: bit slow now, lot less features than up to date models

...Within my position at work, it is extremely important that I have a decent printer and to be honest, I don't have one, I have three that I use for various print jobs that I may perform in-house. The Xerox Phaser 8400 is what I call my back up plan, used occasionally, when I may have ran out on consumables for my other printers of if I want to get a job done quick, I may use them all at the same time. All our printers are leased and unfortunately the Phaser 8400 is no longer available to purchase or lease as new anymore, however some companies do offer ex-demonstration machines and you may be able to acquire one of these this way. Since the 8400 was born, it has been upgraded and hs now been replaced by the 8560. The 8400 however I feel during its day was an excellent machine and still continues to produce quality prints...
