A great budget DLP Projector

Advantages: Low price, vivid colour, ease of use and setup
Disadvantages: Resolution could be a bit higher, slight screen-door effect

...I bought this projector for my home cinema system and i have been very impressed with it. For the money, i don't think there is a better projector packed with features and superb ease of use. The picture quality is more than satisfactory for watching DVD's and playing PlayStation games, and i also use it for viewing photos from my PC. More die-hard home cinema enthusiasts may find the resolution not up to scratch, and it does suffer slightly from the screen door effect, but i find the picture excellent. Another obvious benefit is the massive lamp life of 4000 hours, which means it'll be a very long time before it needs changing. I have also found that this projector has one of the cheapest replacement lamp prices around, from just £140. The brightness is brilliant and this projector is so easy to set up and use that anybody could use...

PG-M10S XGA LCD Projector

Advantages: Very small and Light / Excellent for mobile use

...If you are looking for a good value LCD Projector to be used to give presentations a good model to look at would be the Sharp PG-M10S XGA LCD Projector. The Unit runs at 800 ANSI lumens which makes the model very bright (as witj several models it is best to let the unit warm up for a minute or two to get the best brightness.) It can be used with more than one input device Ie Video and Laptop, supports NTSC, PAL and SECAM, and has a very basic speaker built in to provide adquate but not great sound playback. The unit also comes complete with PS2 lead to provide mouse control via the infrared remote control unit (supplied) which can be used as a full function mouse. ...I've been using LCD and DLP projectors for personal and professional use for the past 10 years, and have finally bought my own personal projector of my use at home. Fan-bloody-tastic projector for the money! It is bright enough for normal windows/desktop application use during the day in day light on a standard matt wall with all the blinds open. But it becomes a seriously good projector for films, games, and web browsing in the evening. I've currently got it ceiling mounted and connected up to my home media server, a laptop, PS3 and a Wii and I still have ports to spare. The detail at 720p is brilliant, the contrast ratio isn't perfect as expected but as a bright multi-purpose projector for non-portable use, it comes highly recommended. ...I have used this Sony Projector for over 3 years. It is very light, compact and easy to use. It comes in a canvas carry case with shoulder strap. The projector itself folds up in to a compact carry case. The front cover folds over with a handle and locks so it can be carried like a mini briefcase. The control functions are on top of the projector. There is a row of buttons on the front, Power,Input,APA, and volume control. On the right are buttons for reset,menu,arrow keys and enter.
