Braun Xpressive Epilator - I love this product!

Advantages: Easy to hold, has a light to show up hairs, re-chargeable.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...I love my Braun Expressive Epilator. For years I have wanted to try an epilator for removing the hairs on my legs, but have been put off by stories of pain and the fact that most have looked liked instruments of torture (ok ok, so I exagerate, but you get the idea of my wimpish attitude). I was a firm "shaving will do" type of gal. It's amazing how attitudes can change once you have become a mother. You have a sort of "I've given birth to 4 children, what can hurt more than that?!" attitude which makes you look at the world in a whole new light. Out shopping one day, I saw these Braun Xpressive Epilators on offer and decided to give one a go - the new big brave girl that I am... A little pain, a little gain

Advantages: Battery and mains operated, built in light to help you see, choice of heads
Disadvantages: Can be painful, initially expensive, unclear instructions, lack of a shaver adaptor plug in box

...I cannot believe I am writing a review for an epilator. Really - I cannot. I am the biggest wuss out there when it comes to pain, so that has ruled out waxing, and I also detest the smell of depilatory creams, meaning I have been shaving for years. That changed last year when I was given the opportunity to try out a Braun Silk Epil Xpressive epilator. At the time it was branded the 7681 but it is now branded as the 7781 despite being exactly the same product - a fact Amazon backs up. I will not lie when I say I had to think long and hard about trying this one out. I love a freebie but its no use to anyone if its something you don't really want to try, akin to buying a bright orange balaclava because its 50p, as opposed to something you actually want or need. Braun Epilator

Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features
Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating

Also, as your hairs do have to be less than a certain length, the clipper will be helpful to anyone who has let their hair grow in to make the switch from razors to epilating, and has to shorten the hair some for maxium efficency. This model of the Xpressive also comes with the option of running on it's rechargable battery or off mains power. It will run for almost an hour on full charge, which makes it great to toss in your bag for quick touchups on a trip away. I prefer to use it on mains at home, as I find it works better. I have no actual proof to base that on, however. Also, I find that 45-60 minutes isn't enough time to fully do two legs and under arms. Many will find it hard to do their underarms with an epilator, as it does sting quite a lot, but I personally got used to it. The main final option...
