Advantages: Beautifully animated, entertaining and amusing in places

...at children. Whilst it's easy to considered and dismiss them purely as 'cartoons', they often have great depth and appeal that goes beyond age and as such can be enjoyed by whole family's, children, or even just adults who enjoy "good drawings".
'My Neighbours The Yamadas' is a stylistic move away from the animation usually associated with Studio Ghibli. According to the blurb on the back of the DVD, writer-director Isao Takahata used "?digital production to create the feel of a moving watercolour sketch."
The movie is about the lives of the Yamada family, which consists of the mother and father Matsuko and Takashi, their young son and daughter, as well as Matsuko's live-in mother.
In some ways, the movie is also a move away from the typical Studio Ghibli style of story telling. Rather than being one long plot, the movie is more a series...

2DTV Brilliant Comedy

...2DTV Is a Series of Sketches which takes the mick out of Famous People. It Mainly Contains Blair, Bush, Beckhams, Rooney, Royal Family etc.
2DTV used to air on ITV but you can now own all the Sketchs on DVDs all together there are 4 DVDs to collect. (The best of 2DTV, 2DTV Complete series 3, The very best of 2DTV Series 4 and The Complete Series 5 of 2DTV)

When it comes to Bush they make him look very stupid. and i mean stupid. He talks and laughs to a Sock Called Professor Lembdstrom and gets his advise from a sock. in a cow boy Show he rides a Bike and Fulls off on this bottom and he says "My Elbow" and starts to cry. He Thinks Micky Mouse is real. So relli they make it look like a stupid man. (which most of the time he is)

Yamada DVX-6700
Advantages: It plays EVERYTHING

...My Christmas present to myself this year was the ?Yamada-DVX-6700? ? which looks like a DVD player, works rather like a DVD player but offers a special something extra - this unit not only plays DVDs but many other digital formats too.
The device cost me ~£55 ? to make it price comparable with other DVD players? It replaces a CyberHome ?CH DVD 400? which only plays bone-fide DVDs ? and cost the same 18 months ago. 2DTV - Series 4
Advantages: Funny

...What it is
2DTV is an animated sketch show shown on ITV. It has a mix of celebrities and politicians which it will show in different situations and make fun of. It is rated 15 but i would say it is fine for anyone really. The political figures are well known and it isn't too confusing for anyone who isn't into politics.
About the DVD
The first thing you notice when you open it, is the inside design. It shows all of the characters in the show and it's amazing how simply drawn they are and yet very noticeable. This is the same in the DVD but they usually say names as well, so you know what is going on. The sketches are pretty short and on this DVD there are over 100. They are all entertaining and laugh out loud funny. It's a good length DVD at around an hour because any longer would be a bit too much. The highlights...

YAMADA DVX 6600
Advantages: cheap and plays 99% movie format

...I bought my Yamada DVX 6600 last year at around £70, this was when DVX dvd players were starting to be used. I'm sorry but i cannot remember where i purchased my player from but it was from a online shop off the net, so i guess they are easy to find.
Well, what can't the Yamada play?? i don't know because my Yamada can play everything ive tried, from dvd's, vcd's, jpegs, wma, xvid, dvx. The Yamada is supposed to play 99% of movie fromats but up to now mine has played 100%.
The Yamada is a stylish silver unit that is slim and easy to function, and has the caperbility to play 5.1 surround sound, with the correct speakers of course. Advantages: value impresive features hdtv support £21 maybe cheaper now
Disadvantages: none used for 12mths now all good
...i have owned the winfast dtv 1000 tv tuner card for 12 months now and i am realy impressed with its performance and picture and sound quality and i it only cost me £21
i originaly bought to match my graphics card from leadtek
with this card i can simply plug in my external anntena then select my local tv mast from a drop down list and scan and see all the new channels load up and your now set to go
i get all the normal freeview channels and a few more what isnt on freeview and all radio stations inc dab radio
it also has support for hdtv and ac3 (dolby surround)
if you have a movie which has no sound on it this makes it work
if sound is on the disk
you can also record direct to you hard drive using this card
also records from external sources e.g cable box and many more
using timeshifting u can rewind live tv...

...I am often to be found awake in the wee small hours with my nocturnal 2 year old. Even when I manage to get the little prince back to sleep I sometimes find it hard to return to my dreams! Television in the small hours is not too great, unless you want to learn Spanish (too demanding for my brain at that time of the morning)! Fans of the Trisha show would be all right too but my viewing needs were just not being catered for. We have numerous D.V.D s which I am yet to get round to seeing, so the obvious answer for me was to get a D.V.D player to go in my bedroom. My husband has usually stomped off to the spare room, so this would mean I could watch what I liked-bliss! I didn't want to spend too much as we are a bit strapped for cash at the moment.
