Yamaha PSR 3000 - A One-man Orchestra..
Advantages: A tremendous instrument for the musically minded
Disadvantages: -
...really getting hooked on the likes of Jimmy Smith (a jazz organist), so I turned my attention to the electric organ.
My first instrument was a small Lowry Holiday followed by a small Hammond (great keyboard sound, but rotten base). In my twenties, I turned professional and purchased a small Yamaha with Leslie speaker - (a sort of spinning speaker inside a cabinet that produced a rich sound). Because of it's light weight for portability and reasonable prices compared to most other organs, I have stayed loyal to Yamaha ever since. I now own a HE 8 (old technology now, which I will soon be updated no doubt) and a PSR3000 - a 61-key electronic keyboard, which is the focus of this review.
What I Like About The Yamaha PSR 3000 is the sound quality and a huge range of "voices" - these are synthetic sounds that even the most critical...

Yamaha have done it again!
Advantages: The Sound Quality, Range of features.
Disadvantages: Not loud enough
...----Introduction + basics----
As we all know (or most of us know) Yamaha are a great make for musical instruments and the PSR-240 isnt an exeption. The keyboard has a very modern look with a great 4x10 cm screen on it, the range of instruments, the range of styles, the range of built in songs the buttons that help you navagate your way round the keyboard and the numeric keypad next to the screen. The keyboard has 36 white keys and 25 black keys. ( I dont know whether this is good because I dont play but it is great for me.)

Midi Madness
Advantages: Too many to list.
Disadvantages: None
...Yamaha have produced some great keyboards over the years, that have given the buyers endless hours of pleasure and entertainment, not to mention those who want to just listen. They are definitely my personal preference as the sound reproduction is much more like the real thing, IE; Piano, Violin, Pipe Organ and so on.
The model I use and have done for about 5 years is the PSR5700. Although it's quite old now the features are more than enough, and even meet the needs of on stage use easily.
As with all the Yamaha range it comes with a good selection of preset voices, in fact this one has 99, but there are actually more because you can retune each instrument individually and save the sounds in yet another bank of 99. And again on top of that you have the standard midi voice bank along with effects like the pitch and modulator wheels...

Don't take away the music
Advantages: Great features, easy to use, quality sound
Disadvantages: None really - although custom style feature a little limited
...; and now they are branching out more into the higher market band scenes etc., they're trying to put their talented Japanese bulk up there with such famous names as Corg, Roland and Technics.
I arrived home that day then, as excited as a dog going through a butcher's scrap bin, armed with a CD containing all the demos and vital statistics of the latest Yamaha PSR range. It's worth noting at this point to any potential buyers, that although these CDs are informative and helpful, their content, especially the so called "demonstrations" of the keyboard's capabilities should be taken at face value? Remember that the masterpieces that you hear more or less definitely haven't actually been played; they've been composed on a computer and played through the keyboard in an attempt to lour you into the "God! I could be doing this!" frame of mind. But...

The Yamaha Blaster - The small contender
Advantages: Lightweight, powerful 200cc two-stroke motor, proven over time
Disadvantages: Wheel base and width cause instability in some situations.
...The Yamaha Blaster is a legend in its own right. It has been in production for many a year now and has sold in large numbers worldwide. Its success has mainly been down to the large spread of potential buyers that it caters for. Although its main target is the rookie rider, it has sufficient power to thrill most users while providing good value for money and great reliability.
I have had my Blaster now for 7 years and had very few mechanical issues with her. Of course i have had to change tyres and top up fuel and oil levels when needed. I do as a matter of good maintenance, keep the chain and other moving parts oiled and greased, but this level of maintenance is expected on all such machines. I have recently rebuilt the top-end of my blaster engine and was very pleased to see that the condition of most of the internal waer parts was...

Yamaha Stage Custom Drumkit
Advantages: GREAT DRUM KIT 4 OUTSTANDING PRICE!
Disadvantages: NONE?
...This Drum kit is amazing. If your a beginer or even really good this drum kit will suit you this kit is awsome if your looking for a reasonibly priced drum kit this is for you. I bought this kit about 2 years ago ive only made 3 adjustments like putting remo pinstripe skins on it and buying anew cymbal pack and buyong a mapex double bass pedal but thats what ive done this is a great kit and i would recomend this product to nearly anyone.
The most affordable all-birch Yamaha drumset ever! An incredible value, the legendary tone of an all-birch Yamaha drumset is now available in the Stage Custom series. The low fundamental and warm tone of Yamaha's birch drums have been the top choice of drummers for over 30 years. The Stage Custom Birch series is great for the beginner or the working professional. The staggered diagonal seam allows us to...

Roaring off on my Yamaha
Advantages: The Yamaha brand name
Disadvantages: Low on looks, high on practicality
...Yamaha are well known for motorbikes and keyboards, but over the last 20 years they have built up a fantastic reputation for building guitars of the very highest quality, and at prices usually well below the more illustrious names in the business such as Gibson, Fender and PRS. They also have the advantage that they are readily available from most music shops, so you don't have to go searching for them.
I bought my Yamaha Pacifica 112 a couple of years ago from eBay, and paid the princely sum of £40 for it. Initially I bought it because I wanted a guitar I could put in the back of the car and use for practice whilst staying in hotels. What surprised me most of all was the staggeringly good build quality for such an inexpensive guitar (the RRP is still below £200). These things really are built to last, and play far better than almost...

Yamaha CP300 Stage PIano
Advantages: reasonable price, reasonable sound, portable, built-in amplification & speakers, USB port
Disadvantages: no music rest supplied, a few dodgy-sounding notes around D4
...was so confident that CP300 would suit me that I didn't even bother playing it before buying it. Later, when the instrument arrived, I was not disappointed in any way.
Just bear in mind that, unless you have one, apart from the music rest for CP300 a suitably robust stand will be required on which to sit the instrument. I use a Quiklok 'X' type stand. But Yamaha does a special stand costing about £150 - also available as 'an accessory'.
*As far as I know Technics stopped making electronic pianos a few years back.
UPDATE ON ABOVE REVIEW - 8TH APRIL 2009
Now on to my second CP-300. The first one - reviewed above - developed an odd resonance on the note 'D' that lies a major ninth above middle C. In fact, the two notes on either side of this 'D' are affected i.e. the C and C# and the D# and E. Yamaha reckons it could be...

Yamaha Grizzly 125
Advantages: easy to operate, good second hand value
Disadvantages: key in wrong position
...Yamaha Grizzly 125 ATV.
Firstly a bit of history to show how opinions are formed. We operate a company in Scotland offering Quad Bike Treks for anybody over the age of sixteen, in other words the bikes are used a lot and by anybody from beginners to more experienced riders. Whatever bikes we use have to be mechanically reliable and be able to withstand some abuse. Up until the beginning of this year we used the Breeze model, mostly because its small and light, not too small but still light enough that one person can lift the bike ? pretty useful when you are on your own with a bogged down bike! Another reason for the choice being they are Semi-Automatic put it in forward gear push throttle and it goes, no gear changes to worry about.
Anyway back to the review if you are thinking about buying a quad, you can?t go far wrong...
