...I love the yellow moon catalogues that my daughters regularly bring home with them from school throughout the year. The books and there web site is ram packed with fun and educational things for children to do. There are loads of art and craft things in the book aswell as kits of things to make that range from very simple items you can make with a 4 year old child to more complicated items for older children, these are themed at the times of year too so at easter it is mainly easter items in the catalogue and the same for christmas. There are lots of learning aids in there too that help with spelling, reading, counting etc and are aimed at children of infant and junior shool age and based around the curriculum they are being taught at school. The pocket money toy section is my daughters favorites as there are prices...

...I don't often write book reviews but I really enjoyed (if that is the right turn of phrase) this book and thought I would share my thoughts. Half of a Yellow Sun is set in Nigeria during the 1960s and the title comes from the national emblem for Biafra. Whilst I, like many others of my generation, remember the harrowing television images of starving children during the Biafrian crisis, I have to confess my understanding of the background to that crisis was quite derisory. Although this book is fiction it is set during the now well documented political revolution and, judging by the dedication at the front of the book, it is a period time during which some of the authors forefathers perished. It provides a harrowing account of the impact that war can have on civilian life; touching on issues of class and race and of tribal hostility...

...I am very lucky to have a toddler that loves books. She has just turned two years old and is learning her colours. A couple of months ago, the only colour she would say was yellow. I always found this quite funny as the word yellow is quite a difficult one for little ones to grasp. Thinking back to when my older daughter was small it was the other way around and she would say every colour but yellow. The frustrations that my partner and mother in law encountered whilst trying to get her to say a colour other than yellow was quite amusing to watch. I knew she would grasp the other colours when she was ready, so I ignored all the frequent shouting of "yellow" followed by a laugh. ...After the success of the first scent but heavily criticised of its feminine side, Ferrari decided to bring another fragrance in a yellow bottle and really makes feminine. I was disappointed with the yellow line and it put me off replacing my red bottle. The scent is very nice but the type that’s too feminine for men and not feminine enough for women. I guess the Ferrari camp really lost plot this time, but you be happy to know they brought a new bottle which is black but I haven’t had the pleasure of its scent....

Pokemon Yellow - A Whole New Adventure

Advantages: good fun, lots of accessories to buy, small and portable, can battle and trade with others
Disadvantages: takes a long time to complete a game, can't save many games at once, expensive

...For my 10th birthday, I received a Pokemon Yellow game and Gameboy (Nintendo 64). I put the game in, turned on the Gameboy and started what would be a whole new animated adventure. You get to choose your name, your rival’s name and the names of the Pokemon you catch, but they can only be ten letters or symbols maximum. The aim of the game is to go through each of the ten towns, defeat as many of the trainers as possible, conquer the gym leaders and become a Pokemon Master (the title’s the same for females and males alike). It all depends on your skills to how hard it is or how long it takes, but it usually takes me a few months. (Long time for a game, isn’t it?) ...are a lovely shade of yellow with brown spots/markings on them. I have seven opened flowers on mine and also two buds which only adds to the realistic look of this item. Mine measures about 12 inches in height bent over so would be a little higher than this if it was upright. I'd say this was the ideal room decoration for the non-green-fingered like me. It looks good but doesn't need any care or attention. It doesn't mind if you go away on holiday for a week or two or ten and will still look fab when you return. ...I got this game a few months ago expecting it to be a great game as said in magazines and at first i thought wow i have got a great game now i hardly touch it. It is quite good at the start as it is very challenging but it starts to get a bit boring and once you completed the pokemon league about 20 times. First this it quite similar to pokemon blue and red but you start with pikachu and no other pokemon well you can tell with it being called special pikachu edition. You cannot use the 99 items cheat on pokemon yellow for some reason and it only works for versions blue and red.
