Yummy Yo! Sushi

Advantages: Fun, novel idea, easy to see what you are getting to eat, yummy!
Disadvantages: A little pricey if you eat lots!

...I was in London recently and we decided to have a look around Knightsbridge. We saw the Harrods supermarket and I was intrigued to see if things cost more in there than in other supermarkets, so off we went to have a look. Once we were inside there are a few snack bars and mini restaurant-type places. One of these was Yo! Sushi which I have been wanting to go to for ages.. so my boyfriend agreed to take me (yay!) Basically, the Yo! Sushi bar consists of an open plan kitchen, and around that was a table that went around the entire thing (in a square - it looked almost like a breakfast bar) and then bar stools that sat around the table. There were a lot of people there when we went in and there are only seats for around 30 people, but the staff were really friendly and said that we would get seated quickly. About a minute later we...

Sushi for beginners

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

...Sushi. Raw fish - it never really appealed to me . A couple of times I did brave trying small sushi packs from supermarkets, but never found them to my taste. But, I'm a brave soldier, so when my mum invited me out to Yo!Sushi in Nottingham, I decided to go and give it another try. This restaurant is situated in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, a few minutes walk from the train station, and about 5 minutes walk from the Market Square in the heart of the city . There is a tram stop right outside . Even with me being wary of sushi, I could immediately see some good points to the restaurant - you can whip the dish you want right off the conveyor belt, so no sitting around waiting for your meal . You could see the dishes being prepared, which is always reassuring - especially as every 15 minutes an alarm goes off indicating all...

Grab Yo'self a Plate Mate

Advantages: Quick and healthy food. Great for a flying lunch or dinner.
Disadvantages: Can be a little expensive.

...INTRODUCTION Going for Sushi is a real treat for me, mainly because my wife abhors the stuff, so the likelihood of going for a Japanese on one of our rare nights out is pretty slim. I have all the gubbins needed to make it at home, but whenever I get the chance, I always try and grab lunch at one of London?s many sushi bars. My favourite ? mainly because of their many locations, simple layout and quick access to food - is Yo! Sushi. I have tried their branches at Victoria and Paddington Stations, County Hall, and St Paul?s Churchyard and found them to be fairly consistent in quality, service and layout, as such, this review relates to the chain in general, rather than a specific branch. BACKGROUND Before ?conveyor belt? sushi became popular in the UK, aficionados of this Japanese staple had to make do with frightfully...

Yo! Sushi Bullring Birmingham

Advantages: Tasty, makes a chance
Disadvantages: Expensive

...off that pricey bill! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Contact Info. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Head Office YO! Sushi World, 95 Farringdon Road, London, EC1R 3BT, United Kingdom Tel: +44 (0)20 7841 0700 ~~~~~~~~~ Conclusion ~~~~~~~~~ I found Yo! Sushi very novel, as there don't tend to be many resturants like that around England and it was a nice chance. It was a quick bite, and for what it was it was expensive, but that won't stop me going back as it was very tasty and I really enjoyed it!...

Yo!sushi resturant

Advantages: fast, delicious and cheap.
Disadvantages: Sometimes can't get a table straight away.

...Personally, Yo!sushi is one of my favorite resturants, its great for eating out for a quick lunch with friends, its busy and lively atmosphere makes it a valued place to eat from the young to the more mature. I love how you can see whats being cooked and there isn't just raw fish! Theres thai food such as katsu chicken and thai prawns on rice and white cabbage. However, the raw fish is delicious and can seriously change your opinion when you try it! My personal favorite is the chicken, its slighty spiced and has a gorgeous crispy breadcrumb surround, it comes ontop of chinese sticky rice and with white cabbage. I have only been to the one in Harvey Nichols in Leeds as my close friend lives there and when i used to visit my gran i would meet up with her for lunch. The resturant itself isn't massive but it packs alot of people in around...

Yo! Sushi Liverpool 1

Advantages: As much an experience as a meal.
Disadvantages: It's not next door to my house.

...To really experience traditional, freshly made sushi, in a bustling and lively environment, you would have to fly to Japan, right? WRONG! Yo! Sushi is the answer! I have always enjoyed those sushi packs from the supermarket, but knew I wasn't really eating the real thing. For one thing the fish is slightly cooked to satisfy the mostly unadventurous British palate, so it's basically steamed fish and rice rolls. I'd wanted to visit a Yo! Sushi for a long time, so I was delighted when I discovered a branch had opened near me in the new Liverpool 1 shopping centre. The day we went, it was really packed, but I believe this added to the fab experience. Our waiter could sense we were newbies, so he carefully explained the 'form' as it were. He talked us through the menu, about how to order, and about how dishes were priced. He then...

Yo Sushi

Advantages: Fast Food that is Healthy
Disadvantages: More expensive than a mAcdonalds

...I have eaten in Yo Sushi several times now and always enjoyed the experince. I have been to two different outlets and the experince has been pretty much the same in both. The two Yo Sushi's I have eaten in are both in Manchester. One is in the centre of Manchester in Selfridges, and the second was in the Trafford Centre again in Selfridges department store. How does it work? When you arrive at Yo Sushi, one of the staff normally seat you and takes a drinks order, (although I have seated myself on occasion when staff haven't been forthcoming.) You are not seated at tables, but seated around a conveyor belt so it is like being seated at a giant breakfast bar with a conveyor belt of food running in front of you. In the middle around which the conveyor belt runs are the chefs preparing the food. On the table/breakfast bar in front...

Fun and accessible Japanese food - sushi snobs need not apply

Advantages: Healthy, tasty, filling Japanese food in an imaginative format
Disadvantages: Can be a little expensive for what you get

...*A healthy concept that has led to a successful chain* Yo! Sushi (Y!S) is (for the UK) relatively original in that diners are served a wide range of tasty Japanese dishes from a conveyor belt. The company currently claims to offer '91 dishes, including sashimi, makis and nori wrapped hand rolls through to hot staples such as chicken katsu curry.' For obvious reasons of freshness and health and safety, the bulk of the hot dishes are made to order by their efficient and busy chefs. Dishes are served on uniform small round plates covered with domed plastic lids that trundle around the conveyor belt until they take the fancy of diners perched around the belt and at adjoining booths for larger groups. We've eaten at various Y!S restaurants around London, although the branches at the Trocadero and County Hall (Westminster) are our usual...

Yo Sushi a great Japanese dining experience

Advantages: Stylish, great food, good experience
Disadvantages: Water is expensive

Review of Yo! Sushi, Manchester

The sushi with no name

Advantages: Fun eating concept
Disadvantages: Poor choice, anonymous, pricey food

...~ The Yo! Sushi concept ~ Pre-prepared plates of sushi travel around a conveyor belt which customers sit along and you face the kitchen area so can watch the chefs at work. You select the dishes you want yourself and pay at the end according to how many plates you?ve had. Plates are colour coded to indicate price. Hot food is also available by ordering from the chefs. ~ What was it like ~ I love sushi. It?s tasty, it?s healthy, it?s different. So I was desperate to try one of the Yo! Sushi restaurants around London as it looked like a lot of fun with the food going round on a conveyor belt. When I was working in Farringdon recently, I was delighted to see a Yo! Sushi branch there. A colleague and I went in for lunch. We sat at the bar admiring the dishes going passed us on the conveyor. We could see the different coloured...
