It does give an immediate smoothing effect, almost like ironing out the wrinkles....to some extent. As well as the instant (temporary) results, there are longer term benefits to this product as it is packed with proteins and other nutrients that firm and hydrate the skin. Application Application is quite staight forward, just smooth a little over the whole face or on specific areas (around eyes or mouth) with fingertips.Don't rub it in until it's absorbed, leave to dry naturally which takes a few moments. ...That's how the PR people describe this - a face lift in a bottle. Well I wouldn't go quite that far, but for anyone concerned about the first (or even 51st!) signs of ageing this has got to be worth a try. Basically the product is filmogenic - like Clarins Beauty Flash or Decleor Beauty boost. This, however, is stronger. It's designed to be worn alone or under make-up and it really does help skin to look a lot better. I find it helps keep my make-up in place and even helps to stop oily t-zone break-through. There is a bit of a knack to applying it and it isn't cheap. But for those days when you need to look pretty near perfect, this is the best product I've found... Read review

...OK - after reading some positive reviews on this product I immediately ordered what I hoped was going to be a miracle in a bottle! Hmm. Well, for £4 what did I expect?! Having lost a considerable amount of weight over the last 6 months, I noticed a few fine line at each side of my mouth - and of course there were the 'laughter' lines and those two lines above the bridge of my nose ...ugh! I come from a family of youthful-looking folk so was a little smug that I hadn't aged quite as much as some of my contemporaries. I am 55 .......I saw the words 'Virtual Lift' and thought I'd give this product a go, what had I got to lose? Well, £4 for a start! ...Lured by the promise of looking 10 years younger in minutes, the BOGOF deal and the nectar points, I decided to give this product a try…anything is worth a go! Apparently, according to Heat magazine (what's that?), it's a favourite of Victoria Beckham so since she never has a wrinkle, it must be good. The product has lots of information about how the skin around the eyes is more delicate around the eyes, and because of this, is the first place to show signs of ageing. It cites examples of wrinkles, circles, dark shadows, and crows' feet, and promises that it can roll back the years. It is apparently a semi permanent treatment, which will tighten areas around the eyes, making them look youthful and radiant. ...~~~A Personal History~~~ Sister is Sonic Youth's 5th album, but when it came out in 1987 it was the first of theirs that I had heard. 15 at the time, it blew me away. This is the album that fired me with a passion for music that has stayed with me to this day. To my pubescent mind, Sonic Youth were the embodiment of cool, no one would or could ever criticise my musical taste - if they didn't like Sonic Youth, they should at least admire them, and if they didn't, well to me that just demonstrated their lack of appreciation of good music. There was a mutual respect between the band and other serious musicians (Pubic Enemy, for example - Chuck D guests on Kool Thing), and I sensed this would extend to their fans. ...I'm a massive music fan, so when I saw that my mate owned the whole Sonic Youth back catalogue I decided to investigate and educate myself in Sonic Youth ways. The first Sonic Youth album I listened to was 'Goo', but I think 'Daydream Nation' is far more accessible for first time listeners for Sonic Youth. 'Daydream Nation' was originally released in 1988, but considering this was nearly twenty years ago now it doesn't sound dated at all. A new deluxe edition of 'Daydream Nation' is out this year (2007), but the original version is still knocking about and this is the one I'm reviewing. According to Amazon this original version of the album is a penny shy of £5, whereas the new deluxe version is nearer to £15, so I think its worth investing in the cheaper one while its still avaliable - especially if you're not a die-hard fan... ...Noddy Lift The Flap Pocket Library. Yet another Christmas present for Jack being review and this time it is Noddy's Lift The Flack Pocket Library Set of Books. I bought these for Jack myself and I paid around £2.99 pence from Woolworth but they were reduced as the RRP on the box says £4.99 pence. The box set contains six different books all the same small size about 3 ½ inches squared. It does state that these books are not suitable for children under 36 months but I don't think this is right just as long as you are supervising your child I think these books are fine from any age. Each of the six books are on a different subject and these are, Look and learn things that go, Look and Learn weather, Look and learn shapes, look and learn numbers, look and learn patterns and look and learn colours.
