...Yves Saint Laurent Elle is a fragrance which was released by YSL in October 2007; as well as the perfume you can also purchase other YSL Elle fragranced bath and beauty products which also help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. People who have dry skin and find that the perfume doesn't have particularly good staying power on them would benefit from using the complimentary shower gel and body lotion before applying the perfume as this would gave the scent a base to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the perfume fragrance. All peoples skin types are different and perfumes, body lotions, shower gels etc act differently on each individual because of the different oils in our skin. ...Having never worn an Yves Saint Laurent fragrance myself, as for some reason I've found them too mature for my taste at the time, I was intrigued to find a complimentary sample of their latest fragrance 'Elle' that arrived with the items I bought off Ebay. Yves Saint Laurent or YSL for short were all the rage in the 80s or maybe it's just the era I most remember them for and until today I'm having mental images of neon fuschia batwing jumpers and strong-smelling, decadent fragrances whenever I smell a whiff of one their classics such as Opium or Paris. ...Elle has come a long way. Becoming a credible fashion magazine is a hard task, living in Vogue's shadow is a very daunting prospect. However, Elle has become a magazine in its own right now, gaining the confidence to really rate its own views and opinions. Branching from fashion and beauty into lifestyle, the magzine has become very well rounded. OK, so there are a lot of adverts in Elle. But there are a lot of adverts in other fashion magazines, it's a part of it, it HAS to be expected. In a way they're part of its charm. The magazine includes interviews with both megastars and up-and-coming stars, and as time has gone on they no longer have to rely on cramming all their features onto their cover, so there's always more in there than you expect. ...I have shopped with Yves Rocher for quite a while and the reason I did was because I understood that they did not test on animals. I found their products so and so but decided that a company not testing on animals was worth compromising a little on quality. However I became concerned when I only ever saw on the animal welfare websites, that either Yves Rocher was not listed as a company who DOES NOT test and others were openly stating that they DID test?! This is what is stated on the website of Yves Rocher regarding animal testing. "We test our products, but never on animals We were one of the first European companies to say "no" to animal testing on finished products, favoring the use of alternative methods since 1989." ...Elle is a women’s monthly fashion glossy, which costs £3.00. It is, according to the magazine itself, ‘The biggest selling fashion magazine in the world’. I purchased this publication in April 2003, for the purpose of reading on a long car journey. I was attracted by the picture of Drew Barrymore(an actress I have grown up with and respect)on the front cover and the sheer size of it, 362 pages! Surely this magazine would provide hours of reading and entertainment? So what Features does it have? Hmm well, there’s articles about fashion models, fashion stories, fashion pictorials and I’m not talking high street fashion. In fact, before you even reach the contents page there are approximately six ads for very expensive fashion companies, Dior, Ralph Lauren Collection, Gucci, Emporio Armani etc. There is a Hot lists section... ...There's something god-given about Elle Macpherson's body. She chats to you a little about 'inner beauty' etc at the start of the workout, so you don't feel too bad as she flexes and leaps, smiling winningly at the camera. Elle's workout has been devised by Karen Voight, a pint-sized pack of muscle with excellent credentials- she was and is a trusted fitness professional with her own line of gyms, as well as academies, in LA. Apparently Elle had to gain weight for the film Sirens (no, I haven't seen it either) and she enlisted Karen to help her lose it after. It's an all-rounder, split into cardio and toning sessions, and lasts about 45 minutes. It's quite a giggle actually. ...I purchase ELLE magazine every month, and I am actually a fan of the magazine. However, I do feel there are some elements of the magazine that could be improved on, and I must admit it is not very good value for money. However, if you are interested in fashion, and like getting a feel for new collections and trends, it is perfect for you. I find that that is what I use it for. Although ELLE doesn't publish many articles, I do get alot of enjoyment reading the ones that are published, and they are very well written. I would definetley describe ELLE magazine as having style but no substance. The majority of the magazine is advertising. However, on occasions, you do find a couple of good music, art, theatre and film reviews in there. So I wouldn't describe it as being completely shallow.... Read review

...Yves Saint Lauren has brought out so many wonderful products, yes they are costly but I believe if you invest into an expensive product it will last a great deal longer - and also make you feel a lot more special while wearing it. I cannot go anywhere without my Yves Saint Lauren lipstick, its a lovely rouge colour that highlights my lips perfectly - at least I think so. I've tried many different makes, ranging from the cheap to the more expensive, and without a doubt I'll always buy the Yves Saint Lauren. I was a student when I first started buying it and quickly realised the more you pay the longer it lasts so a friend and I decided to test the theory. Needless to say I won and to this day I still wear the Yves Saint Lauren brand. Its not just a lipstick, it enhances your persona and builds your confidence and lasts all day.... Read review

...Yves Rocher are a French company who sell makeup and beauty products that are natural and not tested on animals. I am not reviewing the company here as there is a separate catagory for that, but I just wanted to give a bit of background info. They truly believe in their products. I have been using them for over 15 years now. The Hamamelis range is one of my favourites. There is reference here to postage and delivery which is not specific to the product but I feel is necessary to give a true idea of the cost should you decide to buy this product. HAMAMELIS SHOWER GEL ++++++++++++++++++++++ This shower gel is very kind to your skin. It contains witch hazel extract as its main ingredient which is very soothing. ...I recently bought some 'Jardins du Monde' shower gel from the Yves Rocher website. I have never tried the product before but they had a 2-for-1 offer so I couldn't refuse! There are quite a few different shower gels in the 'Jardins du Monde' range.
