...This is my first fragrance review, so be nice to me! As I'm on a limited budget at the moment, I usually opt for the cheaper kinds on the market and just lately I've been buying perfume from Avon. I like Avon, but there are other perfumes out there I like better! On my birthday some months back I was given a bottle of 'Opium' (from Yves Saint Laurent) which I was chuffed to bits with! As I was given this as a gift I'm unsure of the exact price, but you can get it for around the £25 - £30 mark for a 30ml bottle, depending on where you shop. PACKAGING <><><><><> The perfume comes in a brown and gold bottle. The glass bottle itself containing the perfume is covered with a brown plastic covering with a circle in the middle. ...My husband has been working away in Crete and returned home on Friday bearing gifts. One of the gifts he bought for me was a bottle of Opium perfume, this has been a favourite perfume of mine for many years and I normally only receive it for Birthdays and Christmas so it was a real bonus to receive a bottle so close to Christmas, especially as I can now choose another fragrance for Christmas, lol. ...Opium Opium was launched by Yves Saint Laurent in 1977 and is described as being a “refined, subtle, oriental fragrance.” Packaging Opium is packaged in a classic box which is a bright amber colour and is decorated with gold leaves. The bottle itself is see through and is an oval shape and made from glass. The lid is plastic and is an amber / brown colour with gold trimming around the edges. The bottle has leaves embossed onto it. On the front of the bottle the words Opium and Eau de Toilette are written in amber / brown. Price This perfume is available in several sizes and prices do really vary from shop to shop so it’s definitely worth shopping around. ...As you can tell i like my fragrances if you have read my previous reviews....But its good to smell nice and its even better to have such a big variety to suit your mood... Opium was designed by the legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent in 1995. The fragrance i have is Opium Pour Homme Eau De Toilette , Natural Spray. It is a powerful smelling scent but is very gentle on the skin which is good if you have sensitive skin liike me. It does not irritate like some scents can do. It is fresh and warm smelling made with a blend of spices and woods giving it a fresh, rich, and sharp masculine scent. Describing the smell further it smells ambery, spicy and oriental. ...I bought some Yves Saint Laurent products a while ago and I got this 'YSL Instant Pure Natural Action Exfoliator' for free. The tube I got was a 15ml sample size. It looks exactly like the larger tube, just in a smaller size. The tube is a really simple design. It is made from quite rubbery, see through white plastic which is really easy to squeeze and makes it easy to get the liquid out. At the top of the tube it has 'INSTANT PUR' in black letters and then it has the name of the exfoliator in French, and then in English 'Natural Action Exfoliator Granule Free' and then at the bottom of the tube 'Yves Saint Laurent' The tube has a white plastic screw top, which means that you get it all sticky when you try to close it after you have applied the exfoliator! ...The perfume Cinema from YSL is one of my favourite perfumes so I thought I would buy the body lotion to match it. The smell of this is just absolutely lovely, exactly the same as the perfume. It has a good long shelf like of 15 months so it is ok if you don't use it everyday as it will keep. The design of the bottle is really attractive and simple. It is a pure white plastic rectangular shape with the words 'Cinema' written across the front in gold letters and 'Yves Saint Laurent' written across the bottom of the bottle. The bottle comes in a 200ml size and costs £28 from Debenhams. You can find it in a few of the high street shops such as Boots, Debenhams and John Lewis, and it is widely available on the internet, so it is not hard to get a hold of.
