...Rive Gauche is a very strong perfume and definitely one for the evening. It is by Yves Saint Laurent and is very popular, many people I know wear it. Even after YSL bringing out many new perfumes none seem to beat this one. I have tested out some of the recent ones but still do not like any of them as much as this. Thi perfume could be worn in day but I think it is for night. It comes in different measures but I have the 50ml bottle which is around £26+ I am not too sure. The smell is hard to describe, I would probably describe it as flowery but very strong. You do not need to wear lots of this fragrance so one spritz would be enough. This stays on very well so you do not need a lot on for this reason too. One thing I love about the perfume is the packaging it is very posh and luxurious. ...If you're looking for a perfume to buy as a present for a lady of any age - then look no further than Rive Gauche by Yves St Laurent. There is a wide range of products from which to choose so you can spend as much or as little as your wallet will allow. The fragrance itself is quite light and not too overpowering so it is equally suitable for wearing during the day or during the evening. It also means that it would be an excellent choice of gift for someone whose tastes you weren't quite sure of. The design of the packaging and the containers holding the perfumes and powders are all a distinctive blue, silver and black, which makes them instantly recognisable as Rive Gauche. ...Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat has become known as the best highlighter money can buy, and that's not without reason. Yes, the brand name and packaging are appealing, but it's the miracle inside the shiny gold tube that you're paying for. And believe, me it's worth the money. Before Touche Eclat, Yves Saint Laurent was not particularly well-known for its make-up line. ...I bought some Yves Saint Laurent products a while ago and I got this 'YSL Instant Pure Natural Action Exfoliator' for free. The tube I got was a 15ml sample size. It looks exactly like the larger tube, just in a smaller size. The tube is a really simple design. It is made from quite rubbery, see through white plastic which is really easy to squeeze and makes it easy to get the liquid out. At the top of the tube it has 'INSTANT PUR' in black letters and then it has the name of the exfoliator in French, and then in English 'Natural Action Exfoliator Granule Free' and then at the bottom of the tube 'Yves Saint Laurent' The tube has a white plastic screw top, which means that you get it all sticky when you try to close it after you have applied the exfoliator! This particular exfoliator is granule free. For me this kind of ruins... Read review

...The perfume Cinema from YSL is one of my favourite perfumes so I thought I would buy the body lotion to match it. The smell of this is just absolutely lovely, exactly the same as the perfume. It has a good long shelf like of 15 months so it is ok if you don't use it everyday as it will keep. The design of the bottle is really attractive and simple. It is a pure white plastic rectangular shape with the words 'Cinema' written across the front in gold letters and 'Yves Saint Laurent' written across the bottom of the bottle. The bottle comes in a 200ml size and costs £28 from Debenhams. You can find it in a few of the high street shops such as Boots, Debenhams and John Lewis, and it is widely available on the internet, so it is not hard to get a hold of. ... 'Y' Perfume by Yves Saint Laurent Y is one of the many perfumes from the range of Yves Saint Laurent. It comes in a plain white box with gold writing and a large Y to the front. The weight on the bottle I have, which is a vaporisateur is 100ml 3.3 fl oz. The bottle is square and the gold push down spray top is a fanned shape. It has a good solid look to it, and is finished off with gold writing to the front. Created in 1964, Y was brought out to represent the haute couture of the house of Yves Saint Laurent. It's a classic fragrance, quite timeless really, and a suitable perfume for day or night I would say. It's light and green, with notes of jasmine. ... PARIS - Yves Saint Laurent I just adore the perfumes of Yves Saint Laurent. There are so many I like from this one maker. All very distinctive too. His 'Y' is the most beautiful fragrance, as is Rive Gauche, Baby Doll and many others. Paris is one of my firm favourites, and one of the first I owned of his. Paris comes in a salmon pink, gold, and black square box. Quite chunky, like the perfume. The bottle is dimpled, clear glass, quite squat and round, like a squashed ball. It has a black and pink chubby top to it. With Yves Saint Laurent written in gold lettering to the front of the bottle. There is nothing really feminine, or particularly attractive about the bottle, and the basic looking bottle belies the perfume inside. ...I have been using rive gauche for more than 10 yrs and have tried others during that time but have never really found another that i loved as much, it's fragrance is sweet but not overpowering and i find it suits me and i am often told so, people say they love the smell and ask me what it is, then they go out and buy it too. So we can't all be wrong. I also find that certain fragrances can give me headaches too but i have never had one while wearing rive gauche, it also lasts ages. i do however believe that as we all smell differently anyhow it can smell different from one person to another but i would definately recommend it to anyone.... ...Yves Saint Lauren has brought out so many wonderful products, yes they are costly but I believe if you invest into an expensive product it will last a great deal longer - and also make you feel a lot more special while wearing it. I cannot go anywhere without my Yves Saint Lauren lipstick, its a lovely rouge colour that highlights my lips perfectly - at least I think so. I've tried many different makes, ranging from the cheap to the more expensive, and without a doubt I'll always buy the Yves Saint Lauren. I was a student when I first started buying it and quickly realised the more you pay the longer it lasts so a friend and I decided to test the theory. Needless to say I won and to this day I still wear the Yves Saint Lauren brand. Its not just a lipstick, it enhances your persona and builds your confidence and lasts all day.... Read review

...Despite living in France for a year, and visiting on numerous occasions I'd never actually been to Paris before. So for a first visit I really wanted the hotel to live up to the promise of the city - and the Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche certainly did that. Right from the welcome at reception we knew things would be relaxed here. The hotel cat, Sputnik, lounging on the reception desk summed up the feel. If anything my only gripe came at this point, and it was nothing to do with the cat (who was fantastic, though I do recognise not everyone would be so happy to see a moggy at reception), but rather that the receptionist spoke to us in English when I was speaking in French. Really a very minor complaint when her English was so good, and it's a common trait in the big French cities and not really worth getting worked up about. Staying... Read review
