Another great casio Camera!
Review of Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 by
mmmc0drw
Advantages: 10 megapixel, Easy to use, great looks!
Disadvantages: Expensive
...the best flash results when taking photos of individuals or small groups not more than 2 metres away, using the mid range of the zoom.
Movie mode allows you to record video at resolutions of 640x480 and 320x240 with audio. The great feature of this camera is that the length of a movie clip is limited only by the amount of space left on your memory card. You can also select the Anti-Shake feature- fantastic at steadying handheld movies.
In summary- the EX-Z1000 is another great Casio. With good performance, great image quality, and plenty of easy to use exposure modes, this camera is a good choice for anyone looking to buy a functional ultra compact ....

Another great camera.
Review of Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 by
dave8999
Advantages: ease of use, construction, looks, start up speed.
Disadvantages: Rubbish software.
...Looks, build, ease of use:
I brought this camera as an upgrade to the EXZ30, due to a substantial amount of overtime coming my way just lately. It cost £168 at Amazon and is fantastic value for money. My camera is the black version, which I have to say looks absolutely superb.
As soon as you pick it up, if feels solid and well constructed.
It's about the same size as my Z30, but feels quite a bit heavier. The controls are different, but not so much that I had to read the manual!
Taking pictures:
A huge screen on the back, but no optical view finder, was the one thing I worried about. However having been out in the past week on some sunny days, with the sun low in the sky, I had no problems seeing the screen easily.
The 10 mega pixel resolution is awesome, it's shame we can't add some photos to the review to give examples...

An Introduction to Photography for Amateurs
Review of Photography by
Chazzer3
Advantages: Great fun, A hobby that can create an income, produces artwork for your home, etc etc!
Disadvantages: Can get expensive...
..., but of course, the prices are a lot higher than that of the compacts and even some prosumers. I don't suggest an SLR as a first serious camera, I still think the way I did it, with an S7000 and then switching to an SLR later is a much better plan. Of course, if you have the money, and have had experience, then there is no questioning the brilliance of an SLR.
Disadvantages:
Size
No (great) all-in-one lenses
Cost
And obviously, the small cons list proves this further. It is most certainly a good idea to get an SLR if you are looking at a serious hobby or career path.
Some Examples:
Compact: Canon SD900, Casio Exilim Z1000, Panasonic LX-2,
Prosumer: Canon Powershot G7, Fujifilm S9600, Panasonic F750
DSLR: Canon EOS 400D, Nikon D80, Sony DSLR-A100,

Now, this will be about where you may want to show...

a highly recommended site
Review of ebay.co.uk by
busmas
Advantages: you can buy certain items really cheap.
Disadvantages: you can't tell from a photo how the items are.
...i've tried a few auction sites but this is by far the best one.i've bought items from this site at a fraction of the price you can get them from a shop.you can use a buy it now function on some lots if you want to make sure of the purchase.i've seen and bought goods from the US and germany, for me and for presents, which saved me a hell of a lot.how about a brand new fork brace for a kawasaki z1000 for ($28 including shipping)that's about £40 as opposed to £60-80 without postage from shops here.plus i managed to find a new K&N filter for my old bike which you can't find anywhere even on the K&N website.
i've even found items i didn't know existed while i was browsing.however, you can't always tell the quality of the goods just by the description or by the photo. but you can read the sellers previous transaction history and would...
