Advantages: Low initial price, adequate printing quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: High price of cartridges

...When I bought my Lexmark Z55 it was £69.99 from Comet. There was a test print, which showed the print quality was fine for what we wanted - namely printing photos, and the occasional letter. The printer is very simple, and doesn't have a lot of hi-tech gadgetry and functions, which I count as a plus point - I cannot bear to buy equipment with a lot of functions which I will never understand, let alone actually use! The printer itself is fairly large, but not overly so - it's about 43cm wide, 18cm tall and 23cm deep when it's little flap at the top of the paper feed-in trough is closed, and the paper outlet shelf is pushed in - when it's ready to print, you need to allow an extra 15cm at the top and 15cm at the front. The lift-up flap at the top which you rest your paper on when it's waiting to be printed is an ideal dust... Read review

Advantages: Quiet, Fast, Cheap

...When I bought this printer it was £99 and I believe it is even cheaper now. Installation was fairly easy although it did not come with a USB cable, so I had to use one I already had. The printer driver is included in a CD, but I suggest downloading the latest driver from Lexmark's website. It can print up to 3600 x 1200 dpi resolution and the photo quality prints are very good. The Z55 can print up to 17 pages per minute for black prints, and up to 13 pages per minute for colour prints. Compared to my old printer the speed is excellent. A great feature on this printeris the Paper Type Sensor. Just feed in an envelope and it will know what size envelope it is. So far, I have not encountered a paper jam either. Advantages: would last a lern term, quick
Disadvantages: expensive cartridges

...We have this printer for few years. It is almost like an old friend. What can I say good about Lexmark Z55? 1) Very solid, no problem. It does what it is supposed to do. 2) Affordable. It cost us around £49 four years ago. 3) Versatile. I print texts and photos. I also use it for making cards and printing addresses on envelopes. Lovely. 4) Quick. 5) Likes cheep paper (I buy from tesco for £4.99 100 sheets 100gr) Anything negative? 1) Ink cartridges are costly. It takes 2 cartridges. Black will cost you around £29. Colour cartridge will be around £34. If you are thinking to print lots of photos you will need to buy cartridges quite often. I tried to buy cartridges on e-bay. Normally I pay £14 for black and £16 for colour one (delivery included). I still founds it expensive. Especially when you can order prints at Tesco... Read review

Advantages: small camera, large screen, quick shutter time, easy to download to pc
Disadvantages: no case, instructions limited

...This camera is small enough to fit in your pocket or a small handbag and takes high quality pictures. The LCD screen is larger than on most digital cameras and the menu is far easier to operate and more intuitive to operate than the Sony digital cameras I've used. Downloading pictures to the pc is really easy - you just plug a small docking station into the pc and sit the camera in it (this also acts as the charger). I had no problem installing the software and picture quality has been excellent. Shutter time is much quicker than any digital camera I have used before and the camera handles action shots well. You can also take video clips with sound, which were of higher quality than I expected. I chose this over the Z55 model because having compared the Z50 and Z55 specs on Casio's website I had to look hard to find any... Read review

Advantages: Quality colour
Disadvantages: Expensive for what it is! Only fits a small number of printers

...Lets start with the factual stuff. This colour inkjet cartridge is compatible with the Lexmark X5100, Z55 and Z65 printer series. Printer companies like to confuse us all by creating hundreds of printers which are virtually the same - and are only distinguishable by their coded name! As i've said before...can you really distinguish between a Z55 and a Z65 off the top of your head? The same applies to these cartridges. I mean how many of us have gone to the shop to buy a colour cartridge and and had to gues which modfel it was because you had forgotten on the way there, only to realise when you get hoem that it doesnt even fit in your printer, let alone work! This cartridge is perfect if you know exactly what model printer you have. Its not a fancy six colour cartridge and is perfect for your bog standard printer. Although i must... Read review

...The lexmark 82 cartridge is a decent ink cartridge that delivers all that you expect but nothing more and ends up being satisfactory. It is a black ink catridge compatible with the following printer series: X5100 series Z55 series Z65 series As you can see the lexmark 82 is not compatible with a lot of printers. Whenever i see other ink cartridges, their list of compatible printers is usually quite long but not this one. As a result the cartridge is not in as much demand as other cartridges and i often find that my local high street stores dont sell them or are out of stock. The main problem with this cartridge is the price. Whenever i go to my local high street to buy ink i always find that this ink cartridge is always more expensive than most of the other ink cartridges for other lexmarks, as well as other printer brands...
