...When this was advertised at the cinema, I thought it looked quite funny, but I am one of those people who just doesn't get the time to go to the pictures, and by the time I DO finally get the time, the film I wanted to go and watch is no longer on! So when I saw this on Sky Box Office the other night, I thought it would be a good watch seeing as I was home alone for the night, and there was nothing else on TV, so I bought it for the night. The film stars Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks, who play Zack and Miri in the film. Zack and Miri have been best friends since preschool and have grown up together. Now in their late twenties, they share a flat together. Disadvantages: The OTT sex-banter (and situations) might be a bit much for some.

...Zack and Cody Martin are 14-year-olds. Their lives change when they have to move to a hotel in Boston to live. They always seem to make trouble for the staff in the hotel and they always have little schemes. One of the staff is Maddie Fitzpatrick who is a worker at the gift shop. ...You can normally tell when a movie is going to be awful in various ways, one of those is if the advertising for the film is actually forced to change the title of the movie in the adverts. The title of this movie enraged advertisers so much due to the word Porno, it was removed from posters and TV spots so the movie was referred to as Zack & Miri. There aren't any big names to speak of in the cast (I think Jason Mewes better known from Jay & Silent Bob was the only cast member whose name I knew, no shock he got a part in this as Kevin Smith wrote & directed this) although I did recognise the name of Traci Lords for all the wrong reasons. The 2 main roles of Zack (Seth Rogen) & Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are complete unknowns to me, I don't recall Rogen from SuperBad at all which is probably a good thing for him as I hated the movie...

...You've possibly already read my reviews on Weimaraners and Jack Russells (One on Bishons due shortly!), well this is about Zack, he's an 8 month old Jack Russell/Bishon Frise cross. Sally, the Jack Russell, was the mummy and Harry the Bishon was the daddy. Sally was booked in for her op to be spayed when it was cancelled by the vet and changed to about a month after. In that time Harry more than met Sally, and he got her up the duff!! I think it's fair to add here that Harry was only 18 months old when he got her and according to all the books and other info I've read, he shouldn't have been capable for another 18 months so we didn't think that there was any real rush. ...Kevin Smith makes much fewer films than he used to, his ouvre is to make intelligent films where dialogue and character development are key, so you wonder how a film about some friends making a home made porno could support this. Being honest I don't think it does, its a weak film with little story, weaker than expected dialogue and I was really disappointed by it. Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) have been friends since childhood, now roommates, the face hard times financially with dead end jobs and a mountain of debt.
