Three As for Zanussi

Advantages: Good all round performance and environmentally friendly
Disadvantages: None worth mentioning so far

...It's been over six months since I've been using the Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 16281. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300. When buying electrical appliances these days I always take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. It comes with an A rated energy rating, an A rated wash performance an A rated spin performance. I think the wash performance related to how much water the machine uses...

It became part of the Electrolux group in 1980 and still goes from strength to strength and is dedicated to making those routine jobs easier and more efficient What is the ZDC67550W This is what is classed as a condenser drier...

Well Done Zanussi !!!!

Advantages: Superb results, Excelent value
Disadvantages: Extended manufacturer warranty costly...shop around

...First of all thankyou in advance for reading this, my second review. Hopefully it will be of some use to anyone interested in purchasing one of these machines or just as a comparison. I will try and cover the main features of the washer and explain how I have found them in terms of performance. When purchasing any product like this manufacturers tend to claim that their product is far better than the competitions. Being inquisitive and to have a better understanding, I tend to try and find out why it is better and how the results are archived. Zanussi's claim to fame is their "Unique Jet System" as this is the main selling feature I took the time to find out what it does and how it does it, rather than just being a term in a brochure. I also find asking these type of questions highlights how much or little the sales team know...

Disadvantages: lint can get onto clothes on removal. Cannot change door opening!

...Having had a wonderful easy to use zanussi tumble dryer for the past umpteen years, I looked around and found that as i was satisfied with it's past performance, I would go with another zanussi. I have a large capacity washer, so I needed a 7kg dryer. The machine works well, although has many different settings, which i don't need and makes it a little complicated. The water reservoir is located at the top for easy removal. It is quiet and with the large door, makes it easy to load. Unloading however, You have to make sure you clear the lint filter before removing any clothes as it is situated at the front, just inside the door on the main body, so you have to pull the clothes out across it. When i forget- which is frequently, the clothes pick this up, which is rather annoying! I have it next to my WM and it would make life a lot...

A Good Attempt from Zanussi

Advantages: V. Good wash performance & drying.
Disadvantages: Feels lightweight and is somewhat noisy.

..., both when washing and pumping. Feels lightweight - would have preferred a weighted door and a spring-catch door handle mechanism. All said, it washes the dishes well and I'm pleased with it to the point that we later bought a Zanussi washing machine to go with it....

Zanussi FLA 1001W is purrfectly efficient

Advantages: economical, quiet and efficient
Disadvantages: no child lock means that Geoffrey the bear sometimes gets washed when he doesn't want to be!

...the cat - which amounted to the fact that either the offending washing machine went, or he would pack up his spotted hankie and seek a new stamping ground. It was a tough decision... but eventually we negotiated a settlement by which we would purchase a new washing machine. Oh my God! What a selection of washing machines there are nowadays! We eventually decided not to buy the one with in-built DVD player, and we plumped for a new model, the Zanussi FLA 1001 W, a standard machine with a half-load button and 1000rpm spin. So is it any good? In a word, yes! It shows us now how much the previous machine was on its last legs. It is much quieter, a helluva lot more economical, and hasn't attacked the cat yet! We chose a Zanussi because both of our mothers have one. My mum has had hers for 8 years and my mum-in-law has had hers for 12 years. So...

Zanussi Cooker: ZKC6020W

Advantages: Easy to use, wipe clean front
Disadvantages: Inherrent fault with fuses, hob isn't very easy to clean

.... The engineer said that it's quite a common fault on these Zanussi Cookers, and an easy fix, but I was still a bit annoyed that it had happened. I'd say that it's good for a cheap buy, as it's easy to use and looks good. But make sure to pick up a bottle of ceramic hob cleaner from the retailer you go to....

More than just cookers

...Do not be fooled by the name of this site , it actually sells a lot more than just cookers. In fact nearly every type off of appliance you may require for your kitchen is available , Direct to your door . The home page of Cookers-Direct is best described as colourful and eye catching with its blue boarder and bright orange centre, ( luckily I'm not reviewing this site for their taste in colour schemes). Across the top of the page is a scrolling message explaining that all items for sale now have an extended 2 years warranty ,( well that's a money saver straight away). In the centre of the page is message from the company explaining who they are and that they are a family run company, and have been in trading for 20 years. ...Zanussi FLE 1416 W - XC (Xtra Capacity) Being a mum in full time work is difficult enough without having to worry about household appliances going on the blink! This was the case with my trusty 10 year old washing machine. It was a lottery to see if the thing would work without it sticking half way through a wash. Enough was enough. I decided to dispose of the archaic, unreliable old washing machine and bite the bullet and buy a new one. From the outset, I decided that the new machine would not have the old fashioned dial type control, as this was causing the problem with my original machine. I wanted state of the art push button simplicity ? and a few snazzy lights too if possible! Basically, it had to be husband proof. If I had washing, I wanted him to be able to push the right buttons and not boil everything to death...
