Zanussi Washer Dryer - Brilliant
Advantages: Easy to use, quick washing cycle
Disadvantages: None
...When our old washer/dryer brokedown we were keen to replace it with another one, but my previous make was no longer available; the
Zanussi Washer Dryer ZWD12270W seemed to be the best match for our requirements. It was a reasonable price in the category and supplied the same amount of drying space.
I did some internet reseach and found the best deal at currys.co.uk. The machine is £279.99 plus £19.95 delivery & collection of old one.
Another trawl of the internet found that I could get free delivery with the code AWSALEDEL and then got 1% cash back by going through the greasypalm website to do the purchase.
The statisics are :-
# Wash and dry in one machine - a great space saver.
# Wash load capacity - 6kg
# Drying load capacity - 3kg
# Ratings - C Energy A Wash B Dry
# Wash controls - Variable spin & temperature...

Does it still have the appliance of science ?.
Advantages: Good price, easy to use, various wash cycles, delay option, up to 1600rpm
Disadvantages: Only B rated, a few programme errors.
...insurers kindly agreed to pay for a replacement washer and so we began looking around for a suitable one. Finally after much searching in the shops and on-line we decided to go for a Zanussi as our previous one had been so good. However our new one had a few bonuses.
We bought our new Zanussi through a cash-back site and Asda direct and so the price was very good. I think we paid around £330. There is one problem which I guess was from Asda. The edge of the drum is just slightly bent out of shape. This is so small that we had been using the washer a few weeks before we realised it. As the washer had been in its packing waiting to be fitted for a few months I decided it was too late to complain to Asda and thought we would chance it. At present this does not affect the performance at all and only time will tell.

Zanussi-Electrolux ZDC 67550
Advantages: easy to use large capacity
Disadvantages: None so far
...Having just bought a Zanussi ZWF12070 washing machine, which I have already review I decided as my Hotpoint tumble drier was playing up (again) I used to trust Hotpoint (not any more) I would invest in a Zanussi machine in light of the excellent performance of the above washer I chose the ZDC67550W
A bit about the company
The company was formed in Italy way back n 1916 and thus is well established
The Company rapidly grew from a handful of employees to over 300 in a mere 30 year period and have now built a dedicated centre whose aim is constantly developing and improving their range of products. It became part of the Electrolux group in 1980 and still goes from strength to strength and is dedicated to making those routine jobs easier and more efficient
What is the ZDC67550W
This is what is classed as a condenser drier...

Does what its supposed to do!!
Advantages: Great results, good price
Disadvantages: C rating for energy
...Having decided to part with my hard earned cash on both a washer dryer and separate dryer as well. I would now like to share my experiences and observations.
My choice of purchase was split between two manufacturers, namely Hotpoint or Zanussi. The reason behind this was that both manufacturers in the past have had quite a good reputation for reliability.
Having viewed both manufacturers I had noticed that Hotpoint do seem to have a somewhat more cheaper quality feel to them and not as well built as they used to be.
Before going into the details of the product I must point out that there are some good deals to be had when purchasing multiple items. I had intended to purchase on-line, assuming this to always be the cheapest option. However, to my pleasant surprise, I found my local "Independent" electrical retailer was not only...

Three As for Zanussi
Advantages: Good all round performance and environmentally friendly
Disadvantages: None worth mentioning so far
...It's been over six months since I've been using the Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 16281. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300.
When buying electrical appliances these days I always take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. It comes with an A rated energy rating, an A rated wash performance an A rated spin performance. I think the wash performance related to how much water the machine uses...

Zanussi-Electrolux ZDC 67550
Advantages: large, easy access,
Disadvantages: lint can get onto clothes on removal. Cannot change door opening!
...Having had a wonderful easy to use zanussi tumble dryer for the past umpteen years, I looked around and found that as i was satisfied with it's past performance, I would go with another zanussi. I have a large capacity washer, so I needed a 7kg dryer.
The machine works well, although has many different settings, which i don't need and makes it a little complicated.
The water reservoir is located at the top for easy removal.
It is quiet and with the large door, makes it easy to load. Unloading however, You have to make sure you clear the lint filter before removing any clothes as it is situated at the front, just inside the door on the main body, so you have to pull the clothes out across it. When i forget- which is frequently, the clothes pick this up, which is rather annoying!
I have it next to my WM and it would make life a lot...

Zanussi, the appliance of science.
Advantages: Sooooo quiet, even when spinning at the full 1200 rpm. Countdown timer. Variable Temperature & Spin options. Handwash programme. Uses far less water than previous machine. Cold fill only... The list goes on!
Disadvantages: Longer programme times, but can be reduced using Extra Quick option.
...On Last Wednesday 28th September, my kitchen was changed. The 7-year-old Hotpoint washer dryer has now been replaced by a fantastically modern, mid-range Zanussi ZWD1270W washer dryer. Even though the machine was around £350, what I have received is a machine that is worth every single penny we paid for it.
EXTERIOR:
When looking at the machine, you can see the drawer in the top left-hand corner. This is split up into three sections- The pre-wash section is the furthest to the left, the Main Wash section is in the middle, and the conditioner part situated at the very right of the drawer. One thing I have noticed, which is great, is that the drawer has several water holes at the top, more visible when the actual container has been taken out.
If you need to take the drawer out for cleaning, you simply press a button...

A Good Attempt from Zanussi
Advantages: V. Good wash performance & drying.
Disadvantages: Feels lightweight and is somewhat noisy.
..., both when washing and pumping.
Feels lightweight - would have preferred a weighted door and a spring-catch door handle mechanism.
All said, it washes the dishes well and I'm pleased with it to the point that we later bought a Zanussi washing machine to go with it....

New Zanussi for me and Susie
Advantages: Cheap, quiet, good energy rating.
Disadvantages: None so far
...Our washing machine finally gave up the ghost on Good Friday, we went in to Comet Electricals who, I have to say, were extremely helpful, and we chose the ZWF 1621 from Zanussi-Electrolux for three reasons:
1. Price: we did not want to pay over £300, and this was £249.99, plus plumbing etc (I'll come on to that).
2. Good, realiable brand.
3. They had these in stock for quick delivery.
Whilst I am not reviewing Comet, we did take advantage of their delivery and plumbing (£32.95) and eco diposal of our old washer (£7.50)....just try getting a plumber out the next day to do all this for £40.
The washer is white, two dials on the right, one for wash programme, and one for spin speed. Five buttons on the left; from 'start' to delay start, pre wash, options and half load. There is a very clear display of lights showing what part...
