...I purchased the Zanussi 70cm Stainless Steel Range Cooker about 6 weeks ago and would like to detail my experiences so far. First of all it is a nice looking cooker, the stainless steel looks superb and feels nice and cool as well. I liked the particulary large oven that it has which is iseal for cooking for families, it comes with 2 shelves which as adjustable so will fit in a very large bird. The energy rating is “A” The Hob is stainless steel and has 5 Gas burner areas’s with a particulary good centre burner which I use for cooking with my Wok, oriental dishes come out well because of the heat generated – a problem with electric cookers that I have had previously.The gas burners are cast iron and appear to be very durable so far, they are also really stable – no wobbles so far. ...one is good for a frying pan or large based pan, although to be honest, unless both back burners are being used I don't really use the front ones much. The top oven/grill is a little on the small size for me. I would have preferred it to be slightly larger so I could fit pans on both the shelf and the bottom of the oven space, as I often end up cooking more than one variety of meal and it is often imperative that I have both ovens on at different temperatures and therefore need to utilise every scrap of oven space. The grill pan doesn't actually come with the cooker for some reason and we had to phone Zanussi and get them to send it through. It was free but make sure you ask for the grill pan, the wire rack and the grill pan handle. We thought it would be altogether and were sadly let down, having to make separate phone calls and orders... Read review

Advantages: COOKS EXTREMELY GOOD.

...I wanted to reduce the rate I eat fast food, so I decided to buy this. As a young bachelor, I decided to make out time for my self and start up cooking at least once in a while. Since I got this, I normally cook at least three times in a week, which is not that bad. Zanussi is a product that deals mostly with house hold appliances and their product delights me so much. Since I started cooking, I think I have created some problem for my self by cooking every time that I cant not visit the fast food. Well I have to admit the fact that eating out side is not that a good habit because one day, I will be married and face that responsibility as a father and my kids and my wife will like me to portray that good example. Advantages: pizza oven
Disadvantages: lots of different functions

...Why did we opt for this oven? We loved the little knobs instead of buttons. Loved the idea of all the different things the oven could do. And finally it had a pizza oven function--yum yum--it really works too. But how hard it is from having a gas oven to an electric fan oven. So far i have burnt some cakes whilst they are still raw on the inside (kids wernt impressed). But it does make fantastic pizza. I still have to get the instruction book out when I want to use an oven facility I am not used to (so thats all of them apart from thermal grill, fan ovem and pizza oven) but when i do get it out it is quite straight forward. We also bought this one as I wanted a stainless steel one that didnt show finger marks. I can tell you this is totally true. All others ones we looked at as soon as you touched them the marks were there... Read review

Advantages: Its dual fuel (gas and electric)

...Getting the best cooking results with a small kitchen is always tough, normally limited to either gas or electric cookers. Hob cooking with gas gives instant regulated heat, essential in cooking sauces etc. Electric fan assisted ovens give uniform heat throughout the oven cavity preventing 'hot spots' of typical electric or gas ovens. So with Dual Fuel where space is a real limitation to great cooking you can get the best results by having both gas hob and fan assisted oven in one, without having to spend loads of cash on separate gas hobs and electric built-in ovens. Of course Zanussi isn't the only provider of dual fuel ovens, but dual fuel is the first positive step to easier cooking with results. ...I purchased this cooker in white. I paid £269.95 but most suppliers seem to be selling it for £500+ so I think perhaps mine was priced wrongly as it certainly seems more like a £500 cooker than a cheaper model. It is a very smart looking cooker and easy to keep clean. It has double glass panels to both ovens which are extremely easy to wipe clean as is the smoked glass lid. The burners are very neat looking and the pan supports keep even the smallest of pans stable. Being 60cm the oven is a generous size and the hotplate easily accommodates four full size pans at once. I find the grill very fast and when only cooking on one shelf the top oven is more than adequate. The self cleaning oven really does self clean. The shelves in the main oven are a bit difficult to remove but I think this may just be due to it being new. The oven does... Read review

...When we replaced our fridge-freezer I was specifically looking for a larger fridge compartment as well as a good sized freezer. I have always been used to, and liked Zanussi as I was brought up with them. My mom swears by them and our first washing machine was a 15 year old Zanussi of hers. Understandably they were one of the makes we looked and after several comparisons we chose this Zanussi ZNB343W. The price was reasonable everywhere but we got it from Sainsbury for £297.00 in the sale. We used our nectar points to bring the price down further and received almost 600 further points on the purchase. The Zanussi ZNB343W is a frost free 60/40 fridge-freezer. The frost free freezing system stops ice building up inside the compartment so that you don’t have to defrost the freezer. It also means that ice doesn’t take up space... Read review

Advantages: EASY NOT TO BURN THE DINNER.

...the oven is outstanding !! The time that I save is amazing. With the fan assistance, the heat is circulated to cook evenly but quicker. I find this setting excellent for pies and dishes that have a lot of "middle" to them. I suppose that for a meat eater, this setting would be the favourite, although I do not cook meat in it at all. I tried this setting with nutroast and it was amazing because it was cooked right through to the centre without being too crispy on the outside. INNER GRILL Now here, Zanussi have been quite clever. If you are only toasting a small dish, what is the point of having the whole of the top of the oven lit up in grilling area ? Most of it would be wasted down the sides of the dish. Advantages: Gas only cooking with two ovens if you prefer gas cooking.
Disadvantages: No back up if gas component fails, as in a split double Electric Gas ovens.

...Creda 230GW We have purchased two Creda "gas" double ovens over the past six years, the most recent just less than twelve months ago. Our experience with the first Creda gas double oven purchased was excellent, with no problems with regard to cooking and grilling. However, towards the end of the five years, my wife who is an experienced cook and has made many wedding cakes to a professional standard, complained that she was not getting a total cooking ( even though the oven is fan assisted.) of her cakes etc. Around this time, we had what I call peripheral faults, such as, the handles on the doors began to crack at a weak point as it joined the glass door (a design fault) and the grill pan insert began to corrode due to the chrome plating disintegrating. ...on much as I am a lucky gal being with my partner who happens to be a Chef, and he is happy now he's cooking on gas! The hob works brilliantly, having had an electric hob before and not being that impressed, I loved the way I could control the cooking by the twist of a nossle, from boiling point to a gentle simmer! There is a nifty little red ignitor button to press for the gas hob and the gas buttons (nobs) are easy to use, practical and durable. The main oven is electric and combines a grill and standard size oven. Not that large if you have a big family but plenty of space for our grub! The grill works quickly and effectively, you use the thermostat to control the heat and switch it to the grill function. The main oven can be used to defrost food and cook food fan-assisted.
