...On Last Wednesday 28th September, my kitchen was changed. The 7-year-old Hotpoint washer dryer has now been replaced by a fantastically modern, mid-range Zanussi ZWD1270W washer dryer. Even though the machine was around £350, what I have received is a machine that is worth every single penny we paid for it. EXTERIOR: When looking at the machine, you can see the drawer in the top left-hand corner. This is split up into three sections- The pre-wash section is the furthest to the left, the Main Wash section is in the middle, and the conditioner part situated at the very right of the drawer. One thing I have noticed, which is great, is that the drawer has several water holes at the top, more visible when the actual container has been taken out. ...well i don't know if beckham (mr or mrs) has got one, i don't even know if they have ever used a washing machine before. but i'm sure if they had to do the choar they probably would buy one of these!! I've always been a bit concerned with washer dryer combinations as i had a poor experience many years ago. however we have moved to a new home with very limited space and had little option than to go for the combie. The zanussi zwd1270 comes in either a powder coated white finish or a silver/ grey at an extra £50 premium. as all our kitchen appliances are silver, we obviously paid the extra. Zanussi only make about 10% of their product range in silver/grey so you may have to wait a bit if there isn't one in stock. This wait was well worth it because mum & dad offered to do our washing till it arrived. and lets face it, i was enjoying... Read review

...Well to be honest, the washer dryer is absolutely great. It is easy to use, has a variable spin, quick wash in just over an hour an a wool wash. This machine has a light up display to make it easier to check that you have the right wash selected. The choices vary from a preset cotton wash at 40c to a delicates wash at 30c with no spin. You can also change the temperature (up to 90c) as well as select your own spin speed, though if the speed/temp is not compatiable with the type of material it will not allow you to do the wash cycle (very handy for the home illiterate like me!) This was £400 from Currys but was available to take away on the day which is always handy!! My choice of purchase was split between two manufacturers, namely Hotpoint or Zanussi. The reason behind this was that both manufacturers in the past have had quite a good reputation for reliability. I will try and cover the main features of the washer and explain how I have found them in terms of performance. When purchasing any product like this manufacturers tend to claim that their product is far better than the competitions. Being inquisitive and to have a better understanding, I tend to try and find out why it is better and how the results are archived. Zanussi's claim to fame is their "Unique Jet System" as this is the main selling feature I took the time to find out what it does and how it does it, rather than just being a term in a brochure. ...After recently replacing my very unreliable Indesit washing machine with the very efficient Zanussi FDJ1666W, I certainly wasn’t expecting to be in the unfortunate position to have to replace my tumble dryer. However, as fate would have it, my 18 year old full-size Hotpoint, which had been passed through 2 family members, decided to stop tumbling and exhale short bursts of cold air. I was stunned.
