Three As for Zanussi

Advantages: Good all round performance and environmentally friendly
Disadvantages: None worth mentioning so far

...It's been over six months since I've been using the Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 16281. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300. When buying electrical appliances these days I always take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. It comes with an A rated energy rating, an A rated wash performance an A rated spin performance. I think the wash performance related to how much water the machine uses...

Advantages: Superb results, Excelent value

...First of all thankyou in advance for reading this, my second review. Hopefully it will be of some use to anyone interested in purchasing one of these machines or just as a comparison. I will try and cover the main features of the washer and explain how I have found them in terms of performance. When purchasing any product like this manufacturers tend to claim that their product is far better than the competitions. Being inquisitive and to have a better understanding, I tend to try and find out why it is better and how the results are archived. Zanussi's claim to fame is their "Unique Jet System" as this is the main selling feature I took the time to find out what it does and how it does it, rather than just being a term in a brochure. I also find asking these type of questions highlights how much or little the sales team know...

...model up the range was £260 so, I decided to look elsewhere. I then went into town and found a small shop which sold electrical goods. They had the same washing machine in stock for £240 then as I was looking the salesman came along and we told him that we had seen the Zanussi in Comet for £230, he said that he would match the price, or he could even show us another Zanussi with a 1400 spin which had been delivered but never plugged in, at a ladies house who had ordered a 1600 spin and had been taken the wrong machine. So, they could no longer sell it as new. When he showed us this model which was a 1400 spin for the same price £230 we decided to have it and paid and took it home there and then. Reliable, good quality machine for the price.

Advantages: Simple, functional, gimmick free. Good results.

Advantages: great washing at fairly low cost

...lately i found myself in the rather unfortunate p[osition of having to buy a new washing machine and this is what i found whether by luck or judgment i dont know but i did good. this machine for the price of £227 is a pure bargain i got mine from tesco.com and through quidco you get a rebate of just over £5 added to your account. the quality of the wash is superb in my opinion and the extra spinspeed of 1400 is well worth the extra few quid. for all you carbon footprint watchers out there the consumption is 1.14kWh using 54 litres over 155 minutes which i feel is about average for todays machines and with the complete ease of use this machine will suit anybody who needs a good family sized washing machine as it will hold 6kg of washing without breaking the bank...

New Zanussi for me and Susie

Advantages: Cheap, quiet, good energy rating.

...Our washing machine finally gave up the ghost on Good Friday, we went in to Comet Electricals who, I have to say, were extremely helpful, and we chose the ZWF 1621 from Zanussi-Electrolux for three reasons: 1. Price: we did not want to pay over £300, and this was £249.99, plus plumbing etc (I'll come on to that). 2. Good, realiable brand. 3. They had these in stock for quick delivery. Whilst I am not reviewing Comet, we did take advantage of their delivery and plumbing (£32.95) and eco diposal of our old washer (£7.50)....just try getting a plumber out the next day to do all this for £40. I love my Zanussi Washing Machine

Advantages: Good value, easy to use, quiet machine with loads of options
Disadvantages: Can't see how long to the end of the washing programme

...My old and very noisy Servis machine died the other day (it had been dieing since day 1). I did loads of comparisons looking for the best machine available in my price range. I'd always thought that a Zanussi machine would be out of my league, so was extremely surprised with the competitive price offered. It was extremely easy to remove the transit spacer (although you do need a 10mm spanner) and the bar at the back of the drum. Once this was done it was a case of attaching the relevant pipes and then it was ready to go. When I used it for the first time I was impressed by how quiet it is and that you can hardly hear it, even when it spins at 1200 rpm. It takes a 6kg washload which is great for those larger items like duvets and blankets. This machine also sports 15 different wash programmes including all the usual ones...
