Advantages: Stylish, efficient, large fridge
Disadvantages: Cost, not enough freezer space

...I love my fridge freezer! It is stylish and fits perfectly under the counter. If you cannot have an integrated fridge freezer then this is a great option. There are a couple of down points though... this is more expensive than buying a seperate fridge and freezer for under the counter and there are only three drawers in the freezer. I manage to fit quite a lot in mine, but it can be a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle trying to fit everything in. There is ample space in the fridge section. Please note the stainless stell model is more expensive than the white. I am pleased I purchased this as it looks good in my modern kitchen. Advantages: Slimline, quiet, with a delay start facility

...When it has to be slimline (to fit the gap) and silver (to suit the rest of the kitchen appliances), the choice reduces dramatically, especially if you're not prepared to pay a fortune - does a silver-effect finish really have to be so much more expensive? I've had Zanussi appliances before, and always found them to be very reliable, so the ZSF4143S seemed an obvious choice, and it certainly hasn't disappointed so far. It has a fairly restricted range of programmes - intensive, normal, quick wash, economy and rinse hold. The delay start (with 3, 6 or 9 hour delay options) seemed an excellent idea, but in fact it's so quiet (unlike its predecessor!) that it hardly seems necessary to delay the start until the morning when going to bed at night. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300. When buying electrical appliances these days I always take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. Things are hotting up in the kitchen

Advantages: Good price, easy to use, various wash cycles, delay option, up to 1600rpm
Disadvantages: Only B rated, a few programme errors.

Finally after much searching in the shops and on-line we decided to go for a Zanussi as our previous one had been so good. However our new one had a few bonuses. We bought our new Zanussi through a cash-back site and Asda direct and so the price was very good. I think we paid around £330. There is one problem which I guess was from Asda. The edge of the drum is just slightly bent out of shape. This is so small that we had been using the washer a few weeks before we realised it. As the washer had been in its packing waiting to be fitted for a few months I decided it was too late to complain to Asda and thought we would chance it. What a great machine!

Advantages: Works well, looks good and the price is right

The one at the house was about six years old and had already had the engineer out to it once so we thought a new one would be a good idea. I think it was just under £400 we paid for it in the end but we haggled free delivery out of them and pick up of our old fridge as well as a tenner off, with them initially refusing any of these concessions. Threatening to walk soon made them give in though so we saved around £40 or so. Always remember to have a good haggle, with the mark up they can well afford to give you something.
