My wonderful wash-day friend
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux WJD1667 by
FilmfanUK
Advantages: Very quiet, very reliable, with intelligent & useful wash/dry programs
Disadvantages: None. This baby's been a real wash-day friend.
...I purchased my Zanussi WJD1667 washer-dryer 3 years ago and it's still going strong. It's never needed repair and still looks as good as the day I bought it.
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This white washer-dryer is front-loading, with the door hinge on the left of the machine as you look at it. The door opens fully on its 180 degree hinge, and it has an extra-large viewing porthole.
It can cater with a 6kg wash load, and 3kg of items for drying. It has an 'A' wash performance rating and a 'B' energy efficiency rating. There's no need for a vent pipe for the drying cycle as the steam is condensed within the machine itself. In other words, plug it into the cold water & drainage pipes and away you go!
This model is sometimes listed as a WJD1667W. The final 'W' simply indicates that it comes in White only.
FEATURES:
- Pre-Wash (not...

What a smart washing-machine!
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF1437 by
chokkybikky
Advantages: A 7kg load - it can do 7 sheets at a time
Disadvantages: See updated review!
...and wish to merely spin the item, the minimum spin is a 10 minute 'rinse and spin' - impossible to just 'spin'.
I still haven't gotten over the fact the door unlocks almost instantly when you find the sock you dropped on the way to the washer! I still love that.
I did switch off the beeps for a while, but I found I didn't notice when my machine had finished. I sometimes forgot I even had a load in. Hence beeps back on, and we all rush to switch it off as it's so damn annoying!
ORIGINAL REVIEW
This machine is hot off the production line at Zanussi-Electrolux. It is a latest improvement on the current batch in that they have upped the load capability to 7kg. As my last Zanussi took a measly 4.5kg and bit the dust with worn bearings you will understand why I am so excited!
It's an all-singing, all-dancing, very clever...

Zanussi Washer Dryer - Brilliant
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZWD 12270 by
muppetmum
Advantages: Easy to use, quick washing cycle
Disadvantages: None
...When our old washer/dryer brokedown we were keen to replace it with another one, but my previous make was no longer available; the
Zanussi Washer Dryer ZWD12270W seemed to be the best match for our requirements. It was a reasonable price in the category and supplied the same amount of drying space.
I did some internet reseach and found the best deal at currys.co.uk. The machine is £279.99 plus £19.95 delivery & collection of old one.
Another trawl of the internet found that I could get free delivery with the code AWSALEDEL and then got 1% cash back by going through the greasypalm website to do the purchase.
The statisics are :-
# Wash and dry in one machine - a great space saver.
# Wash load capacity - 6kg
# Drying load capacity - 3kg
# Ratings - C Energy A Wash B Dry
# Wash controls - Variable spin & temperature...

New Zanussi for me and Susie
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 1621 by
paulhanton
Advantages: Cheap, quiet, good energy rating.
Disadvantages: None so far
...Our washing machine finally gave up the ghost on Good Friday, we went in to Comet Electricals who, I have to say, were extremely helpful, and we chose the ZWF 1621 from Zanussi-Electrolux for three reasons:
1. Price: we did not want to pay over £300, and this was £249.99, plus plumbing etc (I'll come on to that).
2. Good, realiable brand.
3. They had these in stock for quick delivery.
Whilst I am not reviewing Comet, we did take advantage of their delivery and plumbing (£32.95) and eco diposal of our old washer (£7.50)....just try getting a plumber out the next day to do all this for £40.
The washer is white, two dials on the right, one for wash programme, and one for spin speed. Five buttons on the left; from 'start' to delay start, pre wash, options and half load. There is a very clear display of lights showing what part...

Could not be better!
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZWX1605 by
alic990
Advantages: Good Value, Big Load, Looks Cool! Very Quiet and smooth!
Disadvantages: Beeps on cycle finish
...own if you have it on overnight.
we are very happy with the washer it is very robust and can handle thick heavy sofa covers being washed, trainers and dirty pe kit being shoved in with gardening clothes, and yet it can also make easy work of hand washing and delicates washes for those more wispy items, like silks.
Buy it if you can! we have had no problems whatsoever.
there is a newer model in argos now that has an led screen and an even bigger 7kg load capacity but only 1200 spin a zwf 1237 but the model sharing the most features with mine and less cost are the zwf 1621or zwf 1437; but i would buy zanussi electrolux they make good washers....

What a great machine!
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF1432 by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Works well, looks good and the price is right
Disadvantages: None so far
...As we were moving to our new cottage we decided to buy a new washing machine. The one at the house was about six years old and had already had the engineer out to it once so we thought a new one would be a good idea.
It also meant that we didn't have to carry the washer in the back of the car, which is how we have moved everything else up to the cottage! Impressive eh? Mind you we have got a Zafira (not a Mini) and we have got fitted wardrobes at the new place so they didn't have to come but still we're quite pleased with ourselves! By the way it did take lots of trips - we didn't do it all in one go! LOL!
We did some research on the Internet and then went to Currys for a look at the machine we liked - the Zanussi Electrolux ZWF 1432W. In fact the price in Currys was as cheap as anywhere on the Internet - £219.95 - so we chose...

Dryer than a Biscuit.
Review of Zanussi TD4212 REV by
Mattayre1981
Advantages: Does exactly what it should do, and does it very well.
Disadvantages: Not found any yet.
...(hence no window), and another small filter on the edge of the drum, I cant believe that my clothes are still in one piece considering the huge amount of dust that gets filtered.
The venting hose which is supplied is about 2m long and can be attached to 3 different points on the dryer, 1 on each side and 1 at the rear, so installing the dryer couldn’t be easier and the power lead is also around 2m long.
I'm a typical "Bloke" so I need basic, user friendly functions on laundry equipment, none of these digital displays etc, and on the Zanussi it is very simple, just one knob which sets the time and temperature and 2 buttons, 1 to start and 1 to set a "low temperature".
If you want detailed spec etc I recommend visiting the Zanussi-Electrolux website (not left a link incase its in violation of the rules).
All in all I think...

Am I tempting fate?
Review of Bosch WET2820 Washer-Dryer by
Discerna
Advantages: Reliable, quiet, flexible machine, has served well so far
Disadvantages: plinth-level access required for maintenance, can't handle as much laundry as separate dryer would allow
...Is it tempting fate to write about a washing machine that has been in active service for over five years? I hope not.
I'd like to tell you how calmly and collectedly I assessed the merits of the various different washing machines and washer-dryers available on the market; how I determined the criteria of importance to me; and how I selected the Bosch WET 2820 as best suited to my requirements.
I'd like to …. But it wasn't quite like that.
You see, the pipes behind its predecessor developed a leak which went undetected for a considerable length of time. The floorboards and joists absorbed as much water as they could before allowing the excess to drip down into the empty cellar below. By the time I discovered what was happening I needed the services of a local builder and the support of my house insurers to resolve...

There's no such thing as a laundry fairy
Review of Hotpoint WD64 Aquarius Spin Washer Dryer by
kthdsn
Advantages: You put in dirty clothes and they come out clean
Disadvantages: takes a while to dry, clothes and drum get extremely hot
...With three girls under the age of five my partner and I and frequent visits from my sister there is a lot of laundry to do in our household. I was doing at least one load a day and as I have no garden to speak of I had to hang the wet clothes around the house on airers or on the radiators to dry. This wasn't so bad when I had the central heating on, but when it was too warm to put the radiators on my washing was taking forever to dry. I was starting to run out of places to hang it up and if I stopped washing while I waited for more space then the mountain of dirty clothes kept growing and growing. I decided it was time for a dryer.
As I have no room in my kitchen for another appliance, I was limited to choosing a washer dryer as opposed to a seperate dryer. The positive side to this was that I could set the machine to do all...

The Big Freeze
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZNB404W by
sparkled_pixie
Advantages: Lots of room, energy efficient, good value for money
Disadvantages: None
...The Zanussi-Electrolux ZNB404W is a white frost free fridge large capacity fridge freezer which is currently sitting in my kitchen; it is also availble in silver if like me you want your kitchen accessories to match your kitchen, however you should expect to pay more for the silver model. Large capacity means that it has a large capacity space for food. This Zanussi-Electrolux models is 'A' Energy efficiency rated which means that it is much cheaper to run and is also kinder to the environment, as well as being CFC and HFC free.
The reason we decided to go for such a large fridge freezer when there is only John and I is because I like to make my own soups and jams using home made produce as far as I can and once ive made them then I need storage space and for me this fridge freezer provides that. When we looked into purchasing...
