...The Creative Zen Stone Plus is the 2Gb upgrade of the basic Stone, and as well as the extra 1Gb of space it has a small LED screen for viewing track information and navigating content, a voice recorder, and FM radio. As a cheap, small, easily portable MP3 player with a large enough memory to stop me from listening to the same songs every 5 minutes this serves it's purpose very well. Pros: - it looks cool; - it holds around 500 tracks depending on their size; - it's tiny; - sound quality and volume are good (even with the radio) - software allows for easy drag-and-drop quick uploads (although once you upload from one folder you can't upload more tracks or browse any until the upload is finished) Cons: - you need to download the software from the internet, so if you don't have a connection you have to risk using windows... ...Excellent MP3 Player. Versatile, stylish, easy to use. Bought mine for £63 from Amazon (delivered 48hrs later). Very easy to sync with PC, several software options for managing music, pictures, video and data files. Have mainly used mine for music as with only 2GB memory there is not room for many pictures and videos and the screen is a little small to do them justice anyway. The sound quality is excellent, although I invested in a pair of Phillips headphones which are superior to the ones included with the Zen. The only mild disappointment is that the player can only be charged through the USB PC connection, which takes a little while to charge it fully and needs to be done fairly often if you use the player quite a bit. But all in all I would certainly recommend the Zen V Plus as an excellent MP3 player.... Read review

...Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid. Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling... One of the aspect i found quite useful is the fact that if i put my music files into certain folder, i can make that certain folder to repeat over and over again without creating a playlist. Also, i can delete the file without the needs to link it to the computer. There is another weird thing about this mp3 player. When you turn the system on it automatically plays the music and because i listen to maximum volume that i always jump when i turn it on even though i'm expecting that it's going to be loud. So, before you turn it off, it is best to either lower the volume down or pause the music and then turn it off. The capacity is not that bad either. You can get a 2GB or 4GB which is the standard size of the capacity. The earphone you get with the Zen Stone Plus is also very comfortable as well... Read review

...I had been looking for a long while for an mp3 player before I decided on this one after a lot of people had said very favourable things about Creatives products. Size: When I got the Zen V plus It was smaller than I had imagined it to be, It's palm sized but for me that was an advantage. it is also very light so very easy to use on the go. Ease of use The software that came with it was very easy to load and use on my computer and it came with what I felt a basic instruction manual. Very easy to use and easy to manage the files on the mp3 player. The mp3 player itself has a very easy to use menu and you can find the song you want fairly easy as you can choose either by all music, artist, song title or type of genre. The way that the songs are stored in the genres section is a bit confusing as some just are not in the right... Read review

...I had to buy a new mp3 player after having my old one stolen. So I read some reviews on here and discovered the Creative Labs Zen stone. My budget was only around £30- £50 and this came in at a very reasonable £30 a year ago. The first thing that caught my eye about it was the size. It is absolutely tiny! It measures up at only 5x2.5x1cm. Definitely the smallest MP3 player I have ever come across. The only problem with it being so small is that there is no screen. So unfortunately it is not possible to search through a list of your music collection. However there is a button that allows you to skip forward a folder at a time. So you just need to save music in folders by artist or genre and then easily search through them until you get to the one you want to listen to. The set up is really simple. ...and colours indicate various actions such as connected to computer or adjusting volume. There is one flaw that really annoys me with the Stone. When you turn on the stone it takes around 7 seconds before the music plays. It also starts playing at the volume it was turned off. Put those 2 together and depending on what you were listening to when you turned it off you may be in for a blast in your ears. A volume fade in would have been a much better idea!! All in all the Zen is a nice MP3 player. Enough memory for plenty of songs and perfect for the commute to work. I take mine in the bathroom with a small pair of speakers! Enjoy it!... Read review

...As far as budget mp3 players go, very few strike a balance between price and quality like the Creative Zen Stone. I bought mine for £24.99, and to this day I consider this one of my shrewdest buys. Although capacity is limited, this little piece of kit does everything you could want from an mp3 player. It's a very small piece of equipment (the size of my friend's iPod screen alone!); easy enough to unobtrusively slip into a pocket, and the additional accessories available such as the wrist strap make activities such as jogging a pleasure. The only gripe one could have is the lack of screen. However, the 'skip folder' button eliminates the need for one, making it easy to get to your desired song in no time at all. Customer Support for the Zen is also good. The website provides support for any queries and problems which may arise... Read review
