Creative Zen plus 4Gb

Advantages: Great interface, intuitive, nice size, good sound and video quality, cheap, mains charger avaliable
Disadvantages: in-built battery, shiny surface always shows finger prints, scratches are really noticeable.

...I bought this thing because my old tatty mp3 player with a smashed up screen stopped working. i bought a few really cheap things before it but they didn't really work, one even crashed my computer every time i plugged it in so i opted to spend a bit more and hopefully get something a bit better. usually i think you're paying more just for a brand name but not in this case. overall i love the thing, it fits my needs really well and every time i use it i genuinely think what a good buy it is. Lots of functions on the Zen

Handy for recording instruments or sounds from the computer. Storage is quite good. It claims you can get 2000 songs on this MP3 player but i think that is a little ambitious. I have roughly 1200 on mine and its quite full. Its 4Gb capacity holds it on par with the smaller of the Ipod devices. Sound quality is also quite good. I think that you would not notice the sound compression of MP3s unless you have a tuned ear for such things so therefore its just like listening to CDs. Advantages: Simple, SMall, stylish with excellent sound quality

...Almost unbeatable for the price tag (between £25 and £40) the Zen stone is an excellent mp3 player that comes highly reccomended. The Zen is easy to use, both in terms of connectivity to computers/laptops for the transfer of music, or whilst out and about on the go. The sound quality is as good as any other mp3 player on the market, and thankfully the zen has a universal headphone socket, meaning broken headphones don't mean disaster! The Zen v plus 4gb holds around 2,000 according to the box, I haven't filled it up yet, i've only put 140 tracks on. The small big button in the middle of the player easily navigates through the menus, then you have a back key and a pause/play key on the front. On the side of the player is the volumn control, record button, on/off/hold switch. At the top you have the USB input slot and the line in. The best small 4GB MP3 player -No its NOT an IPOD!

Advantages: Small & Sleek design, Can store any file format
Disadvantages: Small screen (although it still gives all the information you ever need)

...OK, so I may be a bit bias as I have a MuVo2 & not an IPOD, but read on & decide for yourself! A couple of months ago I started looking for some personal audio that could play hours of music without me having to change CDs or anything (so I didn't have to have an endless supply of CDs in the office). I finally settled on a CD/MP3 player which allowed me to burn any songs I wanted onto a CD (fitting around 170 on a disc). However I only used this for a couple of months as I managed to win this MP3 player through 'Nuts' magazine (please don't call me that!). I have since looked at some prices & it can be found from £150 to £200 depending where you look. The MuVo2 4GB has the same memory as the apple ipod mini. It weighs the same as a small mobile phone (about 91g) & although it is 15mm wider & 6mm deeper, it is a massive 25mm shorter...
