...I bought a creative zen 4GB because i wanted a good quality mp3 player, which held a decent amount of music, but i wasnt particularly bothered about getting an iPod, because i think theyre a bit overpriced. i chose the 4GB because i dont have loads of music, but wanted something which held a decent amount. What i really liked about the Zen V when i was looking to buy something was its clear screen, which is a feature of the iPod which i like, and i also think its quite well priced. when i got the Zen, i wasn´t disappointed! it looks good, its small, lightweight, and very easy to carry around. A lot of my friends who have iPods complain that they scratch easily, but ive had my zen nearly 2 months, and its taken a few knocks and is well used, but still looks like new. ...,500 if you don't store photos. It also has a voice recorder, and this records at a very high quality- I was impressed with this when I tried it out. The size of the V compared to earier ZEN players is MUCH better. This version is half the size of the ZEN microphoto, and probably more than half the weight. I do a lot of sports and I like to carry around my music in my pocket as I listen, and this was a great improvement having a lighter player! It also seems to be tougher, because if you drop it it doesn't seem to come off too badly- probably somthing to do with it being so light! Even though the player is a lot smaller, the screen is still s good size. I'm not sure how to describe this, but the 'graphics' on the screen are much sharper, clearer and richer than an IPod nanos. So in conclusion, would I reccomend this? Absolutley!... Read review

...This Creative Zen V Plus is a stylish little mp3 player that is very handy and looks very nice. With the 1GB version you can fit about 1000 songs on there and you can also store some video files and watch them (providing they are the correct format). The controll system mainly consists of a play/pause button, a stop button and a stick that allows you to controll left,right,up,down and select. Also there is an on off button on the side and a volume controll on the other side. The controlls on this mp3 are very neat and are extreamly easy to use. ...Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid. Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling... ...Excellent MP3 Player. Versatile, stylish, easy to use. Bought mine for £63 from Amazon (delivered 48hrs later). Very easy to sync with PC, several software options for managing music, pictures, video and data files. Have mainly used mine for music as with only 2GB memory there is not room for many pictures and videos and the screen is a little small to do them justice anyway. The sound quality is excellent, although I invested in a pair of Phillips headphones which are superior to the ones included with the Zen. The only mild disappointment is that the player can only be charged through the USB PC connection, which takes a little while to charge it fully and needs to be done fairly often if you use the player quite a bit. But all in all I would certainly recommend the Zen V Plus as an excellent MP3 player.... Read review

...I love this little mp3 player. I asked my boyfriend to get me an mp3 for xmas but told him that i didnt want an ipod as everyone seems to have them and i dont like the whole itunes thing. And he pulled this little baby out of the hat! I was so chuffed with it. Though infact originally he had bought me the 2gb Zen V (not the plus version) but the screen was a bit dodgy so we took it back to argos and then when looking on amazon the new plus version (it has radio and alarm and the ability to play videos which the normal one doesnt) with 4gb was £2 cheaper than the one her had got so i got that one. I was a little disappointed in a minor way as the 2gb ones are black and green (i am really into my green at the mo) and the 4gb are black and blue. (there are groovy skins you can buy for it though) At the moment i have 500 songs... Read review

.... Despite this, I am really pleased with my Zen V Plus. It looks fabulous, is tiny enough to take anywhere and has enough playback to see you through any long journey - just make sure you have a way of charging at the other end unless you plan to take your PC with you!!... Read review

...I had been looking for a long while for an mp3 player before I decided on this one after a lot of people had said very favourable things about Creatives products. Size: When I got the Zen V plus It was smaller than I had imagined it to be, It's palm sized but for me that was an advantage. it is also very light so very easy to use on the go. Ease of use The software that came with it was very easy to load and use on my computer and it came with what I felt a basic instruction manual. Very easy to use and easy to manage the files on the mp3 player. The mp3 player itself has a very easy to use menu and you can find the song you want fairly easy as you can choose either by all music, artist, song title or type of genre. The way that the songs are stored in the genres section is a bit confusing as some just are not in the right... Read review
