Heriot-Watt Uni
Review of Herriot Watt University by
lc15
Advantages: Lovely Campus
Disadvantages: Some modules didn't seem relevant on course
...Four years ago, I left school and started the hunt for a suitable university to go to, however I was only really torn between two. This was because I knew that I wanted to move back up Edinburgh, and I also knew that I wanted to do Information Technology. This left Heriot-Watt (actually spelt with 1 ‘R’) or Napier – the two in Edinburgh that seemed to offer this particular subject. I was allowed to apply to six universities; however I ended up choosing some of these by shutting my eyes and randomly pointing my finger at the map! Oops, not really ideal is it…
Anyway, after looking at both of the Universities, I thought that Napier would be the best for me, since it was spread out throughout town and my first thoughts were that this would be exciting. However, after a guided tour around Heriot-Watt, I realised that practical should...

Heriot Watt University
Review of Herriot Watt University by
craigwstewart
Advantages: Excellent campus with superb facilities
Disadvantages: Nothing major
...It has been a little while since I posted a review and that is because I have just started university.
I am currently in my first year at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh studying Mechanical Engineering. This review is based on my experience of the university. While at university I am staying on campus and therefore will be able to comment on the university, its facilities, the course I am doing and the accommodation.
Heriot Watt University has two campuses in Scotland. This review is only based on the main campus which is in Edinburgh.
Heriot Watt is the eighth oldest higher education institution in the UK. It was established by Royal Charter in 1966, but its origins date back to 1821 through the School of Arts of Edinburgh.
The name Heriot-Watt, commemorates George Heriot and James Watt. George Heriot was a renowned 16th...

Watt: The Does and the Don’ts.
Review of Herriot Watt University by
Manx
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...A massive percentage of first year students at Herriot-Watt are living on the campus. The first year is entirely geared up for these students. I am not simply talking about the Freshers’ Fayre. I mean things like the timetable. If you are looking at a fifty-minute bus trip in from Edinburgh (rush hour traffic, of course) then you are also looking at a very early rise if you wish to make the nine o’clock lectures. As most first years are on campus the timetable tends to give the first years these dreaded nine o’clock lectures. If you are a first year and you happen to live off campus - tough.
There is another problem with the campus. It is a lovely campus, it is pretty and clean (not counting the pond of chemical doom) but it is miles and miles away. If you have a part time job then you can find yourself right royally screwed...

Unfortunately not your typical zero 7.
Review of Another Late Night (Mixed By Zero 7) - Zero 7 by
dizzy07
Advantages: Two or three very good tracks.
Disadvantages: Most of the tracks are nothing to write home about.
...Another Late Night seems to be a lesser know release of zero 7's, which is not good for a band who are generally not that well known to begin with! I can understand why, however, as this is not like other zero 7 albums so is perhaps ignored to some extent even by fans of the group. Enjoying the likes of Simple Things, When It Falls and/or The Garden are unfortunately not enough for me to recommend this to you; although I guess it might help to a little. Although mixed by zero 7 this does not contain their unique 'sound' which fans of the group will notice right away. This is, however, a relatively chilled out and relaxed album which is well produced, making for great background music and perhaps a couple of quite upbeat tracks which are very good, although not of typical zero 7 style. Overall this album gets 3 stars from me, although...

Zero Degrees is lukewarm
Review of Zero Degrees, Blackheath, London by
duskmaiden
Advantages: microbrewed beers, great pizza, decent priced pints
Disadvantages: can be busy, service slow at times, not so great pizza and pasta
...Pizza and beer. What a great combination. Me being a bit of a foodie (some might say snob) I am very particular about my food and drink. A Pizza Hut deep pan ham and mushroom and a pint of Stella will not quite do the trick for me. I like my beers micro brewed and my fast food gourmet. When I want pizza and beer I head for London's trendy, bohemian and rather picturesque Blackheath home to Zero Degrees, one of my favourite wining and dingng places in London.
Zero Degrees is a restaurant and bar with a difference. You will not find any Stella, Grolsch or even Tiger beer. Zero Degrees has its own micro brewery that produces natural, chemical-free beers which are also very reasonably priced. It was for this reason I sought out Zero Degrees after reading a a short article in a local newspaper. It was not until my first visit...

condition zero is it hot or sub zero ?
Review of Counter Strike: Condition Zero (PC) by
oblivious0r
Advantages: Ability to Beta Test Counter Strike : Source
Disadvantages: Just cs with bots
...to buy the game. So they recruited the help of another games developer to create the single player version of counterstrike named Counter Strike : Condition Zero which would be created by ritual a company known for the game American Mcgee's Alice which was a flop. After a bit of development time Valve sacked them and employed gearbox who created the addon packs for half life. The game was delayed, delayed and then came out... nonono it was delayed and when half life 2 was announced it was still delayed. Then after years of production and people whining at valve it was released on 2004.
So the release date came and i had been playing counter strike for 2 years and didn't even think twice at buying it since it was single player orientated. So i did the wise thing and borrow it off my friend. The first thing i noticed when i got it was...

TOM WATTS IS A LEGEND
Review of Tom Watt's 'The Season Ticket' (TalkSport) by
PHILPOT
Advantages: put your own views on air
Disadvantages: sometimes bias opinions towards different clubs
...This radio proggrame is one of the best ive come across yet. This station is a must for all football fans. It gives a chance to every football fan to voice their opinions on air. It makes for great entertainment when the likes of Tom Watts decides to disagree with viewers comments. Although Toms viewpoints can sometimes be taken to the extremes i find him someone who is a good laugh and has a wide range of knowledge on football.
It gives people like u and me i.e really soccer fans, a chance to hear what other people think on subjects. Football to me is all about the supporters otherwise the beautiful game woulod not be what it is now. Listen out for it on talksport and judge for yourself....

Coke with Zero Calories and 100% Great Taste
Review of Coca Cola Zero by
K1ttyCat
Advantages: Tastes just like Coke but with no calories and no diet cola disappointment.
Disadvantages: Contains somewhat controversial Aspartame
...It looks like Coke. It smells like Coke. It even tastes like Coke. Yet with only .5kcal per 100ml serving, how it in the world can THIS be Coke?
The answer - Coca-Cola Zero.
Call it a miracle if you wish or bow down before the Coke wizards and kiss their feet. This is the drink that diet cola haters have been dreaming of - great cola taste without the calories.
Zero launched in the United States in 2005 and quenched the thirsts of dieters everywhere. Run a search on Google and you can even find lots of soft drink fanatic forums that discuss Zero and one that features an ongoing debate about the product.
Is this Diet Coke with a different label? Is this Coke 2 re-vamped? Oh no, it's definitely Diet sold as non-diet just for those that don't like a dieting image…blah, blah, blah. The debate goes on and on...

Bravo Two Zero was one of the best books I've read in a long while. The story follows Bravo Two Zero leader, Sergeant Andy McNab and his band of brothers.
The Plot

In January 1991, eight members of the SAS regiment embarked upon top secret mission that was to infiltrate them deep behind enemy lines. Under the command of Sergeant Andy McNab, they were to sever the underground communication link between Baghdad and Northwest, and to seek and destroy mobile scud launchers.

Below are the members of Bravo Two Zero.

Zero Regrets!
Review of Coca Cola Zero by
Amy69
Advantages: low calorie, fat and sugar content, delicious, attractive
Disadvantages: added substances, pricey, fizzy
...No matter how many reviews I read, no matter how many people tried to tell me otherwise, I refused myself to believe that a soft drink manufactured by coca cola had no sugar or fat content, despite a much convincing name! I struggled even more to come to terms with the fact that it had less than 1 calorie! This just seemed so unlikely and, in my mind, quite impossible!
Though, I'll never be one to turn to arrogance; I was prepared to open my mind and consider that this may well be the case. Perhaps, in this day in age where anything can happen, they had come up with alternatives and there really was a fizzy drink out there with such minor nutrition values! There was only one thing to do to rest my mind; see for myself!
Before our weekly trip to Asda, I added Coca Cola Zero to the shopping list. As we headed up the drinks aisle, my...
