...I have now had my Ford Fiesta Zetec engine size1.4 for three months and have been very pleased with it so far. Although it is a small car i find that the inside is spacious and you can fit three people in the back without to much bother. There is a lot more room than my old car which was a VW Polo. The interior is very nice, especially the radio/cd player which comes as standard with the car. Im also impressed with the electric windows and power steering, both of which i have never had the pleasure of before. It's true that once you have tasted power steering you can never go back. The digital display is also a nice feature. The car is very nippy especially when moving off in first gear so you have no problem pulling out at busy junctions. Ford Fiesta Zetec S Review

They were produced from the year 2000-2002, bringing out two phases. ...In March 2006 I took delivery of our second car a brand new 2006 Ford Zetec S in metallic grey. The 2006 model cars can be identified from previous models externally by the new "Nissan Micra" style bubbled lights on both the front and back of the car, which my partner and I think looks really good. So far we have only done 700 miles in the car so this review will be a work in practice. Lets Focus On The Zetec...

Advantages: Spaceous, Excellent Handling, Low Insurance Group, Comfortable and Stylish.
Disadvantages: Has the family stigma attached to it which does not do it justice.

...I apologise now if I get too enthusiastic in describing this car, but I think the details will do it justice. The Ford Focus Zetec is in the higher end of the model range and often comes with uprated extras over the base models. My particular car came with what Ford call the 'Climate Pack'. This is a handy combination of air conditioning, heated front windscreen, heated mirrors and heated washer jets. These gadgets can seldom be appreciated in the warmer months, but are an absolute Godsend in winter. If you are looking to buy a focus, make sure you check it has the climate pack. Where most spend twenty minutes scraping ice off their windscreens on frosty winter mornings, you can simply start the engine and press the heat buttons for the front and rear windows. Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

Zetec Power

Advantages: fast and ecnomical
Disadvantages: not an ST or RS

...I have a 2003 mk1 ford focus 2.0l zetec 3dr version in Neptune Green, it sounds amazing, the speed is epic considering it has no turbo and the ride is very smooth. I put on 18" alloys that helped the car with handing corners better but in the processhass slowed the overall speed of the car. if you drive causiously you can get good mpg but if you put your foot down i doubt that you will get better than 20mpg. the car sounds a bit like a quiet diesel in low revs but then transforms into a roaring monster once you hit 3000 revs. it has everyhing from tracion control, drilled front and back disc brakes to heated front leather seats. its cheap on road tax and ok on insurance but it will obviously be cheaper if you have the 1.6l or 1.8l zetec engines. i wanted to get an ST170 but im more that happy with my 2.0l 16v zetec engine as it is...

...Having read the rather detailed review of the Kuga on here, after buying a Kuga Zetec, I have to say that I disagree with a lot of what was said. I realise that his review was for the model up from mine, but they are the same car - just one interior is leather, the other not. I too read a lot of good reviews about the Kuga; very few with a bad word to say about it. I can only presume he was unlucky with the car he drove. Mine is beautiful to drive. Based on other reviews, and having owned a wonderful Fiesta, I decided to upgrade. With a budget in mind I was looking for a 2nd hand AWD (All Wheel Drive) model and luckily stumbled across one. Buying a Zetec Fiesta.

Advantages: Great little cars

...I love Fiestas. In fact, we have had 2 now. But im going to review a Fiesta Zetec rather than our Ghia. Firstly, I think its a better car. Secondly, Both of my Fiestas have had the Zetec Power Unit under the bonnet. Better car? Well its 1500 quid cheaper to buy than the Ghia. Comfort level difference is minimal in today's Fiesta. The extra touches are expensive for what they are. So Lets talk about the Zetec. My First Fiesta was an XR2I 1.8 16V Zetec. My god. Did it fly. It used to scare me and my passengers, particularly in the Wet. Basically, there was too much power under the bonnet for the wheels to transfer to the tarmac. Handling was attrocious because of this. It gave a great ride and was my favourite car that I have owned. In fact, as soon as I traded it in, I regretted it. I still kick myself over...

Almost a return to the Halcyon days...

Advantages: Well built, high levels of equipment, awesome handling, good mid-range performance. stylish appearance.
Disadvantages: MPG not that great, small fuel tank. not an RS1800 Turbo of old, dreadful attitude of Ford HQ.

...I purchased a Ford Fiest Zetec-S from Hamer Ford, West Bromwich back in September 2000 for a total of £11,500 including two services, a years fully comp insurance and a three year Ford Warranty. Fitted out in Panther Black with a Grey/Red interior,I can still remember it as vividly as the day I picked it up at the height of the fuel crisis. So no free tank of petrol as I'd been promised and by the time the petrol strike was over the deal was done and Hamer Ford didn't want to know! Sad eh but welcome to the world of car sales.
