...Being a British woman who lived in Zimbabwe for 2 1/2yrs, only returning to the UK in April '00, I can sadly no longer recommed visiting Zimbabwe, at the present moment in time. Despite everything you hear on the news about racism and the blacks hating the whites, it simply isn't true. I married a Black Zimbabwean so they can't be that bad! However, President Mugabe has now stated publicly that he "cannot guarantee the safety of diplomats or foreign aid workers based there". Now while he dooesn't state tourists in this statement his small, but trusty, band of violent supporters may well attack any white (or foreigner) without asking what their business is. I must state that I do not know how badly affected the Tourist areas such as Vitoria Falls and Great Zimbabwe have been affected. Therefore if you do decided to travel to Zimbabwe...

...WOW! I walked into a highstreet shop, and there it was SPACE COLONY! I was on my lunch break and only had a couple of pounds on me! This is currently selling at £1.99, and I felt it was worth the risk, even if its rubbish I havent wasted that much money! The cover is made to look 3D, so when you move it from side to side some of the pictures move. The manual inside is rather thick, but you will need to read it! I am not a believer in manuals, but I did have to refer to this one every now and then! There are three modes you can play in, the 1st is just to play, where you follow the main character Venus and her colleagues. The second is Galaxy mode, where you create your own path working on different contracts and the more you earn, the more options become available. ...I bought "Ten Horrible Histories" from a book club we run at school. They cost me £10 for the set which was an excellent bargain. They are marked at £4.99 each. The books are paperback with approximately 127/130 pages in each. They are easy and interesting to read for young children with a reading age of about eight. Boys of this age especially, sometimes find reading boring just as the author states that history can be boring. All of the books have a contents and introduction page. The books are interesting and very cleverly written. If a child finds reading a page of text difficult they can read the comic strip or the jokes and an adult could share the book with them by reading the text. There are quizzes and in some books questions to ask the teacher, so the teacher must read the book too! There are rhyme words, lists...

American History X

Advantages: Great plot, superb characters and a theme that needed to be discussed

...Well my next review again is another film that was made during the 90's. Gosh they really don't make films like they use to. I must admit ive only seen this film twice once in high school and once with my friends, and both times the film just gives you a sense of shock. The film im going to review is the 1998, critically acclaimed "American History X", directed by Tony Kaye and Edward Norton and Edward Furlong. Ok two quick recaps here, Edward Furlong is the guy who was John Connor in Terminator 2, however just a wee bit more older in this film, but he still looks the same. We then have Edward Norton; you might recognise him from his earlier work in Primal Fear and The People vs. Larry Flynt I must admit this review will talk about some cruel and in some cases sadistic scenes, and for that I apologise if it causes any offence...
