This game is very interesting and amusing you have to create paths. Have to place different animals and create rest rooms and many many more. ...Zoo Tycoon 2 What another great game from the series of "Tycoon". There are so many around it is quite unbelievable and every single on re that I have played has been quite amazing with a total original theme. Well I purchased this game on the 26th November 2004 from WHSmiths and it cost me £29.99. The reason I know this is because for some bizarre reason I still have the receipt in the case. Well this game made by Microsoft is called Zoo Tycoon 2, and if you are familiar with the tycoon range then you will know what the idea of the game is. So for those who have never experienced the tycoon games. Basically in this game you have to create a zoo which will enclose animals which visitors can come and visit. ...It has been a while since i played any of the tycoon games, I think that the last time was on my playstation, but while looking for a new game for my pc I came across zoo tycoon 2 the zoo keeper collection. I have had loads of fun playing it. It also gives educational details when you click on items. Like the animals, you can find out information about the animals, and the plants. Where they come from, etc. The zookeeper collection contains 3 fan favourites: zoo tycoon 2, the endangered species and the african adventure expansion packs. You can fill your zoo with some of the worlds rarest and most amazing animals. It comes with a handy booklet for you to check out anything that you are unsure of. 2 discs and there are downloads available for the game. I just managed to lose all track of time playing it. Advantages: excellent graphics, very enjoyable, good value for money, plenty of new things to learn even after playing solidly for weeks!
Disadvantages: Having to keep the stupid guests happy, lowland gorillas always being miserable, not being able to build a monorail or tour bus route

Advantages: Quick and simple for first time tycoons

Zoo Tycoon is a brilliant game if you have a day spare to get on with some serious gaming. I bought this game for 27 pounds and that includes the two expansion packs, Marine Mania and Dinosaur Digs. When you buy the game, you find out how clever it is. You put your CD in as normal and then it installs. It takes about five minutes installing but do not be put off by this figure. While it is installing you get a tutorial of how you start up a basic game. Clever eh? When you start up you get a choice of Freeform game and Scenario game. ...it is now that i recommend hiring your first member of staff, back to menu 1 and the staff icon on standard zoo tycoon you have available keepers, handymen and tour guides, select a keeper and put him down in the enclosure, by clicking on his personal menu you will be able to assign him to specific enclosures(this is good to ensure all the animals are fed and taken care of) then hire a handy man. handy men collect rubbish from the floor and around the grounds they also maintian exhibit fences stopping animals escaping and eating/upsetting the guests. you have the option within the individuals menu to fire them, name them and keep track of their training. handy men can be allocated to specific tasks like sweeping trash but not mending fences or they can simply do jobs as they come accross them. ...Zoo tycoon is a very addictive game it is not just about buying some animals. You have to look after them and build the right habitat to suit their needs. You also buy reptile houses and refreshment stands to keep your visitors happy. It is hard at first but you soon pick it up. Once you have played for about an hour you can create the zoo a lot quicker and the game play gets easier. I got mine from eBay for £4.50, which is a really good price for what you get. The goals in Zoo Tycoon are quite straightforward: You play the role of a zoo manager whose mission is to provide a secure and compassionate residence for your creatures, who may exhibit various forms of discomfort from anger to hunger; a fair employment situation for your workers, who may choose to go on strike. ...The Zoo Tycoon game costs around £20.00, it is a strategy game for age 3 and above, but I bought it for my son when he was 7 years old and we all enjoy playing it, even my daughter. The point of the game is to run your own zoo and keep your animals and guests happy, you get a sum off money to start you off, and with this you have to build suitable exhibits, buy toilets, burger stands etc for your guests happiness. ...-down for me was the graphics. I realise that it is quite difficult to put something so complex on a console that is so small, however even considering this the graphics are poor. You can just about make out what each animal is and you can barely see the zoo keepers. I think the idea of zoo tycoon had a real potential to have good graphics, with cute animals and bright colours. I feel a bit let down in this area, as though not enough thought was put into this section of the game. The game can be addictive, controlling and making your own zoo can make the hours fly-by so there is potential for this game to become addictive. The concept of this game is not particularly original as it is one of the many "theme-park-esque" spin-offs. ...Zoo tycoon is a really good game. You have to build a zoo and manage it as you are the manager! Choose from over 40 unique animals and build them their perfect enviroment. With over 175 zoo materials including waterfalls, rocks and flowers! But aswell as keeping your animals happy, you need to keep your visiters happy, build them some food stalls and gift shops!!! Your aim is to create the ultimate zoo and gain big profits if you manage it well. Just remember if your visiters aren`t happy....They WON`T come back!!!
