Olympus c50 - well worth the money
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 50 Zoom by
lorna139
Advantages: high meagapixel resolution, looks good, compact
Disadvantages: quite complex features
...Up until a few months ago I only owned a 35mm camera which took good pictures. However it always seems to happen that 1 or 2 of the photographs came out either blurred or incorrectly. A few of my friends had purchased digital cameras and suggested I try them. Once I had, I knew that it was a necessary addition to the household. The next task was to choose which one!
The Olypus c-50 zoom was the camera I eventually decided upon. My brother had purchased an olympus u400 and that took exceptional pictures and this camera is no different. With 5 megapixel in super high quality mode the detail is excellent. Hower most of the time I just use high quality mode as the picture quality seems just as good to me. The only disadvantage of using the super high quality mode is that it severely restricts the number of pictures you can hold...

Zoom Zoom Zoom......
Review of ZoomPanel.com by
Bollinger28
Advantages: Professionally laid out online surveys. Product testing.
Disadvantages: Some awful incentive gifts
...set, cargo bag, $35 Globo Gift certificate.
~ 3,000 ZoomPoints = Wine opener, $50 Globo Gift certificate or his and her watches.
On the whole, the gifts are rather naff, but if you like the look of them, when you have the required number of points to claim your incentive you can order the gifts online and ZoomRewards will arrange delivery to you. Personally, I prefer good hard cash or gift vouchers for online survey work, and the Globo Gift vouchers are well worth having. Once you hit 2,000 ZoomPoints you can claim your $25 Globo Gift voucher. This can be redeemed in the currency/country of your choice and can be used in loads of different UK high street stores (Boots, Debenhams, Woolworths, Waitrose, WH Smiths to name but a few). It's really easy to claim; you are emailed a Globo Gift code by ZoomPanel and the vouchers are issued...

The very impressive sony cybershot DSC- T50s
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T50S by
jsk1977
Advantages: nice and compact loads of features available in black silver for red
Disadvantages: None i can find at the moment
...where a flash is not permitted or might disrupt the mood.
The DSC-T50 also comes equipped with a precision Carl Zeiss® 3X Optical/2X Digital zoom lens and 56 MB internal memory for capturing images without a flash memory card. The Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-T50 is available in three fashionable colors: black, silver and red.
An outstanding 7.2 mega pixel resolution plus Double Anti-Blur technology adds up to sparking images with the slim-line Cyber-shot T50 camera from Sony. The Cyber-shot T50 weighs a mere 130g*. At just 95.0mm (W) x 56.5 mm (H) x 23.4m thin, it's compact enough to slip into a pocket or bag for use any time. It's easy to use, too, thanks to a large 3.0-inch touch-screen for quick access to shooting and playback functions.
Complementing the high-quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens, Double Anti...

Ditch ur stock lens & buy THIS! 18-50mm f2.8 EX
Review of Sigma EX zoom lens - 18 mm - 50 mm F/2.8 by
benzas
Advantages: Lightweight, Compact, Fast f2.8 Aperature throughout the zoom
Disadvantages: Slightly Soft at f2.8, but manageable
...I bought this lens as a replacement for the 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 stock lens that came with my camera, and it was worth every penny.
The increase in image quality, sharpness and clarity of pictures has been amazing. No more fringing around the edges of bright distant objects. No barrel distortion at the very edges of the image. No plasticy cheap feel.
This lens is brilliant, especially if you don't want to fork out the enormous prices for Vibration reduction or Image Stabilising Lenses. (My camera has this built in anyway so ha!).
Having an aperature of f2.8 makes this brilliant for indoor work, as you don't have to use a flash, or push up the iso to noisy values to get sharp clear images.
For example, at 50mm, i can shoot at 1/40sec on this lens at f2.8, my old stock lens would have had me shooting at 1/10sec, which in low...

Olympus CAMEDIA C 50
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 50 Zoom by
tekin21
Advantages: Easy to use, compact, durable
Disadvantages: You have to close the shutter to view pictures
...I am a complete amateur photographer who is always seeking the perfect photograph, and after many years of trying different cameras (both 35mm & digital) I think I have found perfection.
This snappy little camera is very easy to use, it has the capability to point and shoot but has the features available if you want to be a little more adventurous.
I must admit I do tend to use the high resolution picture quality and this is probably due to the fact that when I do get that perfect picture to have framed, this gives the best results if you want to chop and enlarge.
I don't very often actually print in bulk the pictures that I take but instead use them as my screen saver, so that I can look at them over and over again. I have just got back from my holiday and decided that I would print off 50 pictures this time to show family...

Good va-va-Zoom for a decent price
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 220Zoom by
vikingpimp
Advantages: 7.5 x Zoom(3 x optical), easy to use, video option
Disadvantages: Kills the battery with digi zoom, weak flash in dark conditions, instruction manual poor
...I was once not a camera person. I found the whole process tedious - pay a small fortune for some film, load them, take pictures, unload them, put in another, etc. until you had a bag chock full of films.
Then you would trot on down to a processing lab and hand over an extortionate fee, only to receive half the photos you took back because the rest were just darkness.
So before I left Australia for my travels around the world, I was in the market for a digital camera. No more hassles and no fiddling with film. Initially I bought an Olympus, only without a zoom. This soon became very annoying, so in the UK I ventured into Dixons to see what was on offer.
As seems to be always the case in Dixons, I was offered whatever shonky model they were overstocked on - repeatedly in this case:
Assistant - "We have this on special...

Review of Zoom Airlines by

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 Black
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50EB-K by
juliet_bravo
Advantages: fantastic 12x optical zoom and superb image quality
Disadvantages: no case and standard memory card is too small
...We decided to buy a new digital camera just after the birth of our new son back in July. We went to a local camera store and had a look at the promotional publication they had instore. We wanted something with a great optical zoom and digital zoom and were looking for something that would be fairly simple to use- my hubby is a bit of a technophobe and so we had to find something with enough gadgets to do the job and keep me happy, but simple enough so as not to annoy my husband! We decided to buy a panasonic as they have a great reputation, but couldn't pick between three similar models. I spoke to the shop assistant and logged onto kelkoo and eventually decided to buy the Lumix FZ50.
The list price was £420, but we bought one from camera4u.com for £366.00
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 Black is a fantastic camera and is very...

Sony Cybershot DSC-W50
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50S by
sharene
Advantages: Light and Stylish
Disadvantages: Relatively expensive
...The Cyber-Shot DSC-W50 is Sony's entry level digicam for 2006. It has 6 megapixels and aCarl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens. The model has a large 2 1/f inch LCD which is really clear and bright.
The Camera is really easy to use for beginners but the program AE mode allows more advanced users to change settings for exposure compensation, focus mode, ISO, sharpness, saturation, contrast etc.
The W50's body is durable, stylish and functional, it looks really cool and slick. The controls are well-placed,really ergonomic and comfy.
I found the menu system really easy to navigate, it's not the type of one that needs reading the manual as it's very easy to figure out as you go along
The placement of the 2 1/2-inch LCD leaves room above it for the optical viewfinder. The LCD is quite usable in sunny outdoor conditions...

Pictures from the Gods on High!
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 50 Zoom by
TheChocolateLady
Advantages: Rechargable and long lasting LiON batteries, Looks good, 5 Mega pixels
Disadvantages: Sliding lens cover is weak, only 32mb xD card, doesn't have a case
...My boss loves gadgets, and he also loves taking pictures. So when digital cameras started becoming popular, he went out and bought an Olympus Camedia digital camera – which was probably the first digital camera that Olympus ever made. That sturdy old workhorse is still in use today (by me, mostly – isn't he nice?). In fact, there was only one reason that he decided to buy something else – the old one was eating up batteries, both regular and rechargeable ones. So, he went out and bought the (then) top of the line Olympus – the C-50 zoom.
Let me tell you a bit about it - but let me first warn you, this isn't going to be a very technical review. If you want technical stuff, take a look at my "Technical Stuff" at the bottom of this review and follow the URLs there.
First of all, and most importantly for my boss, this camera...
