Power shooting G5
Review of Canon PowerShot G5 by
Rosassnaps
Advantages: Instant results,
Disadvantages: None
...,
software discs.
As 32mb storage was a far too small a flash card for my requirements, I also purchased a 2Gb microdrive for £229-90.
And always believing in carrying spares, I bought another battery for £ 39-99.
Looking at the Canon Powershot G5, it’s not the most handsome thing to look at (but who cares about looks??!!).
Also it may not be the smallest and lightest, but it’s smaller and much lighter than the S2 anyway.
The camera width is 4.8”,
height is 2.9”
and width is 2.8”
and it weighs 410 grams.
Features of the Canon Powershot G5 are exactly the same as the Canon Powershot G3 apart from the following things:-
G5 has 5 megapixels whereas the G3 has only 4 megapixels.
Digital zoom is 4.1x compared to the G3’s 3.6x. The camera body of G5 is black in stead of G3 silver body.
The LCD resolution...

Lusting over the G2/3 but didn't buy? Get this!
Review of Canon PowerShot G5 by
chris_ah1
Advantages: good value, good mode selection, good quality, well built, canon quality, good battery life, good resolution and quality, good manual controls, good LCD
Disadvantages: clumpy, clunky design and controls, too big to be a true compact, interface pauses, zoom irritating, not worth the upgrade from G3
...'s specifications of 5 megapixels, 4x optical zoom (140mm equivalent), advanced features, Digic processor, and some other jargon things make this a top notch performer. Not only can the G5 handle relatively advanced photographers and keep them happy, but it is perfect for good point and click users too. This has to be one of the most important features of the camera - that it can deliver great performance so easily with no tweaking. This might be expected more than ever nowadays, but it is still good that a camera can deliver.
~~~~~~Focusing+zoom~~~~~~
Autofocus is probably the most important feature of a point and click prosumer camera. We want our images and subjects to be focused correctly so we can see them! There is no point taking a 5MP pixel of a lamp-post rather than a friend (well, it might depend in some cases). For this camera, autofocus...
The Mama of guitar multi effects!!!
Review of Zoom G9.2tt by
monsieur.Joda
Advantages: fun to use, really nice sounds
Disadvantages: so many things... can be confusing sometimes...
...for 11 years, but have never been too good at programming multi effects and amps. I also never liked the idea of individual effect pedals.
I used for many years a boss ME-30 (which I reviewed), but last year decided to upgrade it to a Zoom GFX-5. I kept the Zoom GFX5 for about 6 months, and then upgraded to the G9. I just fell in love with the unit. First, (I know it is lame) it looks really cool. Then I read many reviews about it on various websites, and the specs looked really good, and also it sounded like it was really easy to get a nice sound.
With my years of struggle to get a sound I like, I felt really attracted to this unit. They also upgraded the processor in there, making it clearer, faster, better.
I tried the G7 (model below the G9, but same specs, just a few effect less), and purely felt in love with it. I just played...
Canon G7
Review of Canon PowerShot G7 by
SeeEmilyPlay
Advantages: Solid, well built feel, superb image quality
Disadvantages: A protective covering for screen would be nice, battery life not brilliant
...The Samsung V700 which I bought nearly 2 years ago was not a camera which met up to my ideal specifications. I’d plumped for it, as Jessops had reduced it to £229, and for a 7 mega pixel camera it was well priced and had received decent reviews.
During the summer of 2006 I’d been working a lot of overtime and unselfishly thought I deserved a treat - a new digital camera. An exhaustive few days of reading every digital camera magazine brought me to the conclusion - there was nothing available on the market which interested me. Then, one evening, I visited the Canon website where it listed the new models, one of which was the G7. It instantly grabbed my attention but it wasn’t due for release until late October 2006.
When the G7 was finally released, actually viewing one was a difficult task in itself, and it wasn’t until...
Nec E313 3G-ood
Review of NEC E313 3G by
Tortenmann
Advantages: very light, cheap, colour, camera, video calling, on the 3G network, quality phone, pay as you go
Disadvantages: bit big, clunky, made by nec, not many
...it straight away.
♦The phone ♦
One of the most prominent features of this phone is the video calling, which I kind of the whole point in it being a video phone. The video mode on this phone is very easy to use, and you can also just have your face or photo showing, incase you’re very shy!
The 3G network is very fast, and more suitable for messaging, video calling and sending short messages to people. Even though you can do all this fancy stuff with his phone network, you can also send normal SMS and have normal sound calls to other mobile networks.
And, included with this phone, for mainly video calling is the rotateable camera with a 1.7x zoom and a 3.3x zoom, this can be handy for taking photos of distant objects. I found the camera to be very useful, and you can twist it, so you can take a photo of yourself, at and angle...
Zooming good photos
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 725 Ultra Zoom by
claireydeacon
Advantages: Reasonable price, good quality
Disadvantages: xD memory cards aren't always readable
..., although limited in its use.
3 - 4 x AA batteries to get you started.
4 - 16mb xD picture card.
5 - Safety precautions book, memory card information sheet, Repair and service details, Quick start guide in 4 languages, and Basic Manual.
6 - TV connection lead to allow you to view your pictures through the television.
7 - USB cable
The camera itself is lighter than a traditional zoom camera, but feels well made and comfortable to use. According to the book it weighs in at 315g or 0.7lb in old money without a card or batteries. The approximate dimensions are 107.5mm x 76mm x 77.5mm (or 4.2" x 3.0" x 3.1") when turned off, as the lens automatically extends when the camera is switched on.
The camera is easy to use with the on/off button clearly marked on the rear of the machine, there is a dial on the top of the camera which you turn...
Power Shot G2 pro camera, realistic price
Review of Canon PowerShot G2 by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Easy to use, robust
Disadvantages: Might not be easy to find on sale
...I love the Canon Power Shot G2 camera that I use in my working life as a journalist/photographer.
It is robust and strong, and is ideal for the busy professional who needs to take quality images quickly.
There are many features on this camera, macro feature and everything else you would expect from a camera of this type.
However, there is something you will not find, a digital zoom. The zoom on the Canon is an optical zoom and this means that the quality of photographs is always sharp and always crisp.
Many people have been severely disappointed when they have taken a new digital camera out of the box and found out that the so-called digital zoom returns sub-standard images.
As I say, this is not the case with the Canon Power Shot G2.
The image screen shows you exactly what the image will be and the screen can be put...
Samsung G800 - Best I've EVER Bought
Review of Samsung SGH-G800 by
Darren-5-08
Advantages: 5MP Camera, Optical Zoom, FM Radio, 4GB Expandable Memory, Xenon Flash,
Disadvantages: A little bulky, but this can easily be ignored when compared to the excellent features!!
...This is the best phone I have ever bought. Easily. There have been comments about its size, but close comparison shows it is the same length and width as the Samsung D900, with just a larger depth, due to its optical zoom.
-----Internet-----
The Samsung G800 is one of the 3G phones on the market. This is simply an extremely fast internet connection.
-----Camera-----
On to the camera, now. Well, the massive 5MP is a good place to start. There is a lot of competition on the mobile phone camera front and the Samsung G800 is o | | |
