...~~ UPDATED FEBRUARY 2006 ~~ I joined up with ZoomPanel through ipoints in December 2003. Quite frankly, I was most unimpressed with them at first. Despite promising the potential to earn rewards and cash through ZoomPoints, the first 10 or 11 surveys they offered me only qualified me for entry into a sweepstake or prize draw. I'm afraid that I very swiftly pull the plug on any survey company only offering entries into prize draws, as in over 2 years of survey work, I have yet to win anything from any survey company prize draw or raffle. I fail to see why I should spend my valuable time completing a survey for which I get little or no reward, when you can bet your bottom dollar the company hosting it is being handsomely rewarded. ...I have flown Zoom twice to Toronto and once to Calgary from London Gatwick and have found both journeys pleasent. The in-flight service is excellent, with the nice and helpful crew, the in-flight movies are also very good. It's just a pitty the food has to spoil it. Also the aircraft was extremely old. The second time i flew Zoom, the flight was diverted to Birmigham where the flight was operated by Air Transat who are yet to update thier aircrafs. I wish they had used the aircraft that took us to Birmingham (the nice blue one). I don't have any negatives about the airline apart from the crappy food and the aircraft. I think Zoom should stretch their service to Birmingham. I am aware that they have launched services from Machester which will take over Air Canada's position. Overall, Zoom are a cheap, good... Out of all my experiences with wireless/wired routers including; Netgear, Belkin and Linkysys (Cisco), I have found the Zoom X6 Wireless ADSL router to be the most user-friendly router I have ever used. In the box you will get; The wireless router, Power Lead, RJ5 cable (used to connect the router to a base unit in order to cingure the router softwar, once the software has been configured the RJ45 lead may be taken out as long as you have a wireless receiver, i.e. USB, PCMCIA or PCI), instruction manual and CD-ROM software. The first thing to do when you open the box, lay out all your parts and make sure everything is there, then put the CD-ROM into your CD drive, the software is very straight forward and the whole setup process takes about 15 minutes... The best thing about the camera is the zoom – 10x optical means that the lens adjusts – as in a non-digital camera- rather than digital zoom which takes the image and then moving closer to it (this is also available to 4x magnification). This results in photos that are of the same quality whatever zoom level. And at maximum image quality this camera takes tremendous pictures. Truly breathtaking quality – this was the major consideration when choosing a camera. To enhance this the camera can be fitted easily to a tripod, and comes with a remote to take photos without even slightly nudging the camera. Ideal for long exposure shots. I found the whole process tedious - pay a small fortune for some film, load them, take pictures, unload them, put in another, etc. until you had a bag chock full of films. ...Fuji FinePix 2800Zoom This digital camera is another in Fuji`s fine lineage. But I`m confused as to why other manufacturers aren`t offering any competition! No competition? It`s true, there is no competition in the sub-£500 digital camera market for a model with the equivalent of a 570mm zoom. What`s even more amazing is that I managed to pick mine up for just £269 brand spanking new. The full zoom option is only available in VGA resolution mode, the lowest available, and this is perfectly reasonable for website publishing. Even in high-resolution (2 megapixel - the highest) mode, you still have access to the 6x optical zoom, which equates to approximately 228mm. In between you also have access to the 2x digital zoom. At 1 megapixel resolution, when combined with the optical zoom, it can achieve a maximum zoom equivalence... Read review

...I have had the Olympus C-765 camera for just over a year. I find it very easy to use with a good amount of features. This model has the ultra zoom and also a digital zoom. I travel alot and this camera takes some amazing quality pictures. I find it useful for taking pictures of wildlife, as you can zoom in from quite a distance and get superb quality in the picture. This camera has 10 x zoom and 40 x Seamless zoom. It is a 4 megapixel camera. The whole camera package, which included the camera, camera case, 2 batteries, batery charger, instruction manual, mini tripod coz me £170 but this was 1 year ago so I should think the price may have come down a bit since then. You can view all your pictures on a small screen on the back of the camera which is useful while you are away on holiday as you can scan through your photos... Read review

...I recently purchased a sweet Canon 400D/XTi Rebel from Amazon.co.uk (£45 cashback!) and this standard zoom lens (Canon EF-S 18-55mm) came with it. As far as I know, you cannot purchase the Canon EF-S 18-5mm on it's own, as it's designed specifically to be sold with the 400D/XTi Rebel package. I'm sure you can pick up a cheap one on eBay though (probably removed from a kit package, or being sold due to an upgrade from kit package). I've seen the EF-S 18-55mm sell for around £25-£35 at undamaged/rarely used condition on eBay, which is quite cheap! I obviously chose the kit lens package with my 400D/XTi Rebel as it only adds about £40 in the price difference, and I couldn't afford a new lens at that time. Before I start reviewing the actual lens, I'd like to say that is is a kit lens. It doesn't have a great built quality... Read review

...Why write a review of an outdated model you may ask. I realize that newer models have now superseded this camera but the reason for this review is that there should still be plenty of second user 4900 Zoom cameras to be found. Having been used to Canon AE1, an excellent quality SLR camera, and having stupidly sold it to go digital, I found myself really missing the quality I had been used to. My first digital camera was, in fact, a Fuji FinePix. It was one of their very early models and although it was then considered to be one of the better quality models it obviously could not begin to compare to my SLR Canon. After a year or so of very disappointing photos I eventually bought my 4900 Zoom from eBay and I was the second user. It cost me £300 a couple of years ago, although I expect you could get one for even less now... Read review

...Buying things like digital cameras can be quite daunting and there is a lot of information out there if you can be bothered to look. I looked for months at Expert reviews and consumer reviews before finally deciding on my camera. Of course finances limited the choice, and although I had read a lot I still had a lack of understanding of what many of the features actually meant. I had the good fortune to use two cameras before I brought and although the use of both of these was extremely limited it did however give me a couple of pointers of what I wanted. Generally when you buy something you expect it to be the best (well the best that you can afford) and occasionally you buy something that exceeds your expectations well that’s exactly what happened when I brought my digital camera.
