Zyxel ADSL2+ Wireless Router
Review of ZyXEL Prestige 660HW-61 - wireless router by
chappy81
Advantages: Easy Install, 4-Port & Wireless, Reliable
Disadvantages: -
...If you are looking for a well priced router with all the great features of a more pricey Linksys or Netgear, the Zyxel 660HW-61 is definitely for you.
Firstly, whats in the box : You get the Router with built in 4-port Ethernet Hub and wireless antenna in sleek black. You also get a telephone cable, Power Adapter and an Ethernet Cable for initial setup/wired use. The instruction manual is clear and concise and the included CD is not really neccessary because there are no drivers to install, and all updates can be easily found on Zyxel's website.
Installation is quite easy, simply follow the manual, the basic steps are : Connect the router to the power and Phone line, connect it to a PC with an Ethernet port, and login via the web browser. After this it is a simple matter of putting in your ADSL details and settig up your desired...

TCP and PC's
Review of ZyXEL Prestige 310 - router by
tazorii
Advantages: hassle free networking
Disadvantages: complicated
...The ZyXEL router.
Networking is a great solution if your family has more than two PC's and / or an XBOX © / Playstation 2 ©. If you only have two PC's then a router is not really necessary because with Windows XP © and a crossed CAT 5 network cable (2 network cards) you can quite easily network both PC's with very little Hardware hassle. However, if you have two PC's (XBOX ©/ PS2 ©, then a switch and a ROUTER is a wonderful system.
The ZyXEL © Prestige 310 router was the one I went for. A simple yet functional router. A rectangular plastic box with no fancy design. Straight forward and simple Hardware installation! It came with a user manual, A/C power supply and a RS-232 (com port) cable but no network cable.
Plug the modem into the router and then plug the router into the switch (hub). Finally plug all your PC...

Excellent piece of kit
Review of ZyXEL Prestige 660HW-T1 - wireless router - with ZyXEL ZyAIR G-202 Wireless LAN USB Adapter by
bonzoo_dog
Advantages: Low-cost, reliable, full-featured
Disadvantages: Doesn't look very cool (but who cares?)
...Over the last few months I've tried Wireless ADSL routers from 4 different manufacturers, using 54g wireless cards with WPA encryption.
The Belkin one would randomly refuse to allow 1 or 2 wireless clients to connect.
The Netgear one had very poor range (even though it was supposedly "RangeMax").
The Linksys one would randomly refuse to assign IP addresses to wireless clients after they'd connected.
The Zyxel one just works. Reliably. 100% of the time.
All 4 routers were running the latest firmware.
I even tried the helpdesk services for the other 3 and they all came up with the same irrelevant suggestions ("Try a different channel", "Try restoring the factory defaults", "Try upgrading the firmware") - I ended up wondering if they were all actually written by the same person!
Then I tried the Zyxel and my life...

Wireless in a Stick
Review of ZyXEL ZyAIR G-202 by
AlastairI
Advantages: small, easy to use, easy to install, user friendly
Disadvantages: range is not as good as a router
...I have to say I'm very impressed with the Zyxel USB stick, I have a wireless set up in my house but one of my PCs did not have a wireless card. This is an extremely cheap alernative to fitting a card and ideal for those who don't want to, or don't know how to open up the PC and install them.
Zyxel have made a stylish little USB device with a very easy to use software interface. Literally within minutes you are up and running and able to connect to any wireless network of your choice, within reason of course.
Another neat feature is that it can be used as an Access Point (AP) this means if you haven't got a wireless router you can use the Zyxel for this purpose. Setting it to AP mode and setting it up with or without password protection you can then have other people connect to your network through their wireless devices. Perfect...

Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Matsui - MCV661 by
MarcusPerkins
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...£35.00 these days buys the Matsui MCV661. Dixons special offer which I took up for a Kitchen stereo. I knew it would be cheap and I was right. It looks very good being flat front upright stereo with bright blue speakers. It has an upright CD player that makes a horrible whining noise when it plays. The tuner is electronic and is Ok at picking up reception. The single tape deck does the same as any other. I don’t expect this system to last very long and the sound quality is questionable but for £35.00 you would have to be a fool to complain....

Olympus c3030z...where hobby becomes an obsession
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 3030 Zoom by
liverpool21
Advantages: Great quality pictures, several options, modes, superb zoom.good value for money
Disadvantages: probably size only
...camera to laptop,,,,and I believe though I not tried it myself...you could transfer it to some of the new mobile phones with infrared-enabled...like the orange spv...
Last but not least,as many people are interested in knowing; how long does it hold charge for?Well i used 4 rechargeable batteries bought from Argos with the charger for £7.49 and I still use the batteries. If you do not use the lcd screen when taking shots or movies, the charge will last much longer, you can easily get some 600 shots in 640x480 shots in jpeg formats...The batteries have a 1000 time rechargeable lifetime, which in my opinion is pretty good actually for that value...
I bought my camera second hand on an aution site,I got a 64 Mb smart mediacard with it,.I think when you buy it new you get 32Mb card...with 64Mb card,I can store 635 or 661 shots in 640x480 jpeg modes...

**Lanzagrotty i think Notty!**
Review of Lanzarote (Spain) by
lilly2006
Advantages: Scenery, Sea, Water sports, people, EVERYTHING
Disadvantages: having to get the plane home : - (
...in the middle of nowhere.
When we reached the park entrance we paid an admission of €6.61 to get in and travelled further up this road to which seemed like a mountain.
Firstly there is demonstrations on just how hot the ground is at this park and just metres below the surface the temperature is between 400°C and 600°C, (still picture me in my flip flops) I could feel the heat through them and had to keep hopping around, (I looked so silly in my bikini and sarong, I could have throttled my other half)
The demonstrations were throwing dry bushes into a hole which immediately catches fire, also there were small holes in the ground and water was poured into these holes and within seconds steam would shoot out. (trying to catch this on camera was particularly hard)
There was a restaurant called 'El Diablo' , which looked really nice inside...

Advantages: tasty ,quick, easy to eat.
Disadvantages: sticks to teeth.
...not say it's a substitute for breakfast but tastes great and is quick to eat.
For people like me who have given up smoking it's a nice treat without too many calories. But if you do take this in your packed lunch I would advise to take your toothbrush.
