I read an awful lot. I also have quite a large collection of books and although I use the local library, I prefer to own my own copy of books by certain authors (like Terry Pratchett). Buying all these from high street shops is quite expensive and since I don’t have a credit card, I couldn’t shop online - or so I thought. When I found Splash Plastic I was delighted. It’s like a credit card only it’s prepaid and is accepted ... ...I want to tell you all about StudentBookworld.com. It’s a brilliant site and you don’t have to be a student to use it! It stocks over 250,000 books and sources more via the publisher. Every book they stock is discounted, some quite heftily. The home page is very easy to navigate and the type is large and easy to read. Books can be found either by browsing their categories or using their search facility. Searches can be made either by ...

Advantages: Good prices, wide stock range, easy to use Disadvantages: No customised book selections
StudentBookWorld.com is less well known than some of the big guns like Amazon and Waterstones but is well worth trying. I have used the site several times over the past year and came across the site as it listed on the Price comparison portals such as book brain, shopsmart and kelkoo.
I am not a student and have found this site carries just a wide range of books espeically computer and fiction titles as any of the competitors so I would recommend ... ...looking for discounts on their textbooks. You can search on a total of 1.2 million titles

Attention, to all students. When you’re new semester starts in the new term and you have a massive book list then try studentworldbook.com. It’s a great place to buy you’re books online. Compared to prices at ‘Waterstone’ and ‘Book Worm’ the prices were very competitive and in some cases cheaper.
The site is very well organised and the search engine is particularly useful, it allow you to search by:
-title
... ...and say if you need a book for wider reading but do not have a title, then if you search by subject it will particularly useful. The searches are fast and quite extensive, you can get a huge list. Just check the first two or three. It is particularly helpful because it tells you how many copies they have left, so if they have one left you best make you’re decision quickly or if there are hundreds left then it doesn't matter as much.
You can ...

I normally order a lot of books on line as gifts for my family and friends. I usually use Country Book Shop. However I've been converted. This site is much better as in the detail and information it gives you before you hit the checkout.
The search facility is good you can search by author, title or keywords.
The prices are good.
I ordered three books from here on Friday afternoon and I received an e-mail from them yesterday stating they had despatched ...

Advantages: huge selection of books Disadvantages: not free delivery
Looking for textbooks for my courses, I check many different sites online, but I always seem to come back to studentbookworld.com. They claim to have over a million books (I haven't counted though!). A good thing is that you can view the stock levels when you find a book, that way you know if you can order it. Normally, when I order things out of stock, I'm e-mailed a few days later, or sometimes not at all. At studentbookworld, if the book you want ... ...a different title (if available).
They accept all major payment methods (including SOLO, which is rare online), although a downside is that delivery is not free. It is not expensive though, especially compared with other sites who can charge up to £4 per order. Delivery is fast and secure - no chance of your books being ruined in transit or delivered late.
I recommend this site as a must for students who need cheap books fast. ...
