You add some unwanted items, possibly place a couple of wanted items and then let the punters punt, sorry that was my opinion on the oxford canal, I meant to say then let the puntering, erm, haggling ... ...Easy instructions and some rather sleek, but non-the-less informative toolbars, with every function needed. You've got your information about the site in the "about us" area, you're frequently asked questions in the FAQ area, the registration details in the register area - blahdy blah, ad nausiem. There's also a couple of current offers floating across the page and some information about recently completed swaps, e.g. Tom just swapped his collection ...

Swaphut.com is probably the best place on the web where you can swap any kind of product. It’s easy to use, and much cheaper than buying new things all of the time. I find it particularly useful on a DVD and CD swapping basis, because it’s not very risky, and there’s always going to be a movie/album which someone out there will obviously like.
The concept? Look around your place of residence and think ‘hmmm, do I really need ... ...to ‘add an item you have’ on swaphut.com, and another person will think ‘ooh, I’ve always wanted that,’ so they’ll make you an offer, and having agreed you post it off to them. Easy peasy!
How does it compare to the competition? I prefer this to swapitshop.com, because swaphut doesn’t make up a fake currency to work with, which I found quite confusing and off putting to start with. This site seemed a lot ...

Advantages: Lots of choice, really easy to use, great facilities. Disadvantages: Have to post items yourself (but it's the same on auctions etc)
I read Pakalang's review of SwapHut and thought that I'd give it a go - and it was worth it! The basic idea is that you can buy, sell or swap things, and they do all the hard work for you (apart from sending the things out)!
I am a natural hoarder and so a site like this comes as a blessing to me, especially as I love getting new stuff as well and the bank balance is creaking with strain! So I registered, which was really quick and simple, and then ... ...I couldn't think of anything specific to ask for in return, so I just put cash and general ideas like favourite music etc.
I then had a look around myself to see if there was anything I liked the look of - and it was great because there is so much variety. I love Karen Millen clothes, for example, and never expected to get them from a swapping site - but they are there! I made some offers on a couple of things - and this is the really easy bit. ...

Recently, a number of websites have sprung up that offer you the opportunity to swap your CDs, videos, software and other bits and pieces for somebody else’s. Swaphut is marginally successful in this role but it is not the best.
It’s free, so already you have nothing to lose by joining and giving it a whirl. The website is fairly well organised, navigation is logical and it’s quite fast. It has a broad range of items to buy and ... ...you have access to free postage, you have to question how likely it is that you’ll be swapping items as large as office furniture and boats and what usefulness, therefore, categories outside the usual DVD, CD, Video, Books & Software have to offer. It has a comprehensive ‘Personal Account’ area where you can keep a check on offers made and received. Each member has a ‘Traders Rating’ gained by feedback from those they ...

I've got loads of stuff on Swap Hut, it's a good site, easy to manage your ads, no restrictions on how many you can place etc but there just doesn't seem to be enough activity or users to keep the pace up. It would also be nice if you could get updates on new adds in certain categories or if you were e-mailed whenever someone replied to your ad rather than having to log in to check for any comments/offers.
Other than that, it's a good setup for ...
