I've been a member of this website for almost two years now. Basically SwapitShop is a website aimed at 18's and under where you can sell items you don't want in exchange for points called Swapits. With these points, you can then bid on things you DO want that other swappers are offering!
Each item up for 'sale' has a auction style bidding feature very much like eBay, and ... ...can win the item straight away for a set amount of Swapits. Unlike eBay however, it's free to list your items!
You can swap most things, but some items are restricted due to the main users of the site being children. Items disallowed on the site include food and drink, sexually explicit items, items that are dirty or broken...you get the idea. Although the site is AIMED at children though, there is absolutely no restriction on adults using SwapitShop ...

Swapitshop Vs. Swaphut - A definitive guide.
So, I think I would be right in saying that these two sites are pretty much the main sites where you can swap things. But which is best? Firstly, here’s the deal with swapitshop.co.uk, and those of you who want to know more about Swaphut can go to my Swaphut opinion.
On Swapitshop the system is slightly different to just a straight swap as with Swaphut. It works more along the line of an online ... ...for a week, but instead of working with money you get points called ‘swapits’ which you can redeem on the site by bidding for different items. When putting an item you want to swap on you have to set a minimum amount of swapits to start the bidding at, and a maximum amount when the swap can automatically be ended if a bidder goes high enough. When someone wins the bid you send it off to Swapitshop, and then they deliver it to the other ...

Please read bottom of opinion for update...
I have been using Swapitshop for a while now, have experienced both sides of the site, so here is my story...
Firstly, you must register. You log-in with your email address and a password, but your bids are shown by a nickname. Good, do not want people having my email address, although it is on Ciao…different. Two minutes later you must start thinking about what you can do. Well, not a lot really. ... ...you cannot have much! So, what you must firstly do is look through your CD rack, bookshelf, toy box, card collection etc. and put it up for auction if you do not really want it anymore. Well, before you do that, have a good look round the site, and get familiar with it. Why? Because you will need to know where to go to do certain things, and the more familiar you get with the surroundings the better it will be for you. Second thing to do is to look ...

Advantages: Get products you want for things you no longer want, no money/bank details involved Disadvantages: none!
Swapitshop is a great website for kids and teenagers, which allows you to bid on products using a virtual currency called Swapits.
****How do I gain Swapits?****
You first set up an account and recieve a small number of swapits. You use the add a swap button and put anything they don't want onto the websites, by adding it to the relevant product category, and choosing the type of product that it is. You are able to set a minimum starting price, ... ...The product gets added after a few minutes.
****What are Swapits Worth?*****
Swapits do not have a value in money, but if you send in a playstation 2 game for example you would expect between 1000 and 6000 swapits, whereas if you sent in a pencil or some stickers you would expect between 50 to 250 stickers. The more expensive the item is in real life, the more swapits your likely to get, there isn't like an exchange rate for them though. Swapits ...

...on this child friendly website: swapitshop.com you can list items in any of the following categories:
Books
Cards
Collectables
Gadgets
Games
Movies
Music
S port
Stationary
Style
Toys
Vouchers
Underneath the categories there is a section titled 'FRENZIES'. These are from what I can gather a list of items you can bid on which are brand new and listed by the Swapit team.
At the time of writing this review the following categories are listed ... ...yet to sell something on swapitshop.com however I have bid on items. How did I score points? Well this is what I personally think is the best bit about this site.
…Swapit Points…
You can save up swapit points. How? Well most of my 800 points (£8.00) have been voucher codes I have been able to access on internet forums and then redeem on the swapit website. I know you can find swapit codes in some magazines such as Top Of The Pops (I don't buy this) ...
