i have been member of the site for a since december 07
and i remember going on forums and getting codes for little LED torches
then i decided to sell stuff to fund my new mobile phone
so i went and found some of thoose dvs you get free with the paper and some sim cards
and some junk someone was chucking listed them
sold them paid Ł20 postage and got a sony ericson z610i with 2 batterys headphones and charger rrpŁ79
and i brought a 3.1mp camera boxed for 1270 swapits rrpŁ25
and i still have 8650 swapits left
the only downsides are double postage and the extra waiting time involved ...

The swop it shop is an auction website desgined for kids, in my opinion it is almost like an ebay for kids. Basically what you do is sell is put an item up for sale on the site and like ebay you can choose to put it up for auction or put it on buy it now. However, unlike ebay it doesn't cost you anything to put items up for sale on the site. And once you have sold it you earn swapits which is currency which you can only use on this paticular site. ... ...earned to purchase things from the site. Also if you don't fancy selling something on the site you can buy swapits using cash, however you can't convert your swapits back to cash. There are a couple of downsites to the site though you have to pay double postage as you post the product to the company who own swapitshop and they post it to the person who bought the product off you. I loved it and my children love it more. They have traded so much stuff, exchanging all the unwanted toys and presents and actually getting stuff they want.

Swapitshop (Under 18's) - Sell things you don't want for things you do.
I have been using this site for over 2 years now and I love it. It's amazing, you can buy anything from pokemon cards to a new xbox 360.
The only cost is postage and packaging which, is slightly cofusing as you have to add the address of swapitshop on the package and then the member number, swap number and then you add on two stamps (one to get to swapitshop and one to get ... ...I ain't selling anything but, instead I joined something called Swapitshop Friends and Links. This allows me to post a link to swapitshop on my site: www.swapitshop12.piczo.com so, I can get swapits easier.
Instead, of using money for things you use swapits. When a standard member joins they get 10 swapits to start off with. (But, if you click the link I posted above you can get 15 swapits).

Advantages: Large range of items available to buy, free to swap your items, easy to use. Disadvantages: Have to pay double postage, there can sometimes be scams about so be careful.

Each item up for 'sale' has a auction style bidding feature very much like eBay, and ... ...can win the item straight away for a set amount of Swapits. Unlike eBay however, it's free to list your items!
You can swap most things, but some items are restricted due to the main users of the site being children. Items disallowed on the site include food and drink, sexually explicit items, items that are dirty or broken...you get the idea. Although the site is AIMED at children though, there is absolutely no restriction on adults using SwapitShop ...
