Advantages Swap stuff
Disadvantages no one send stuff in
Swapitshop was one of the greatest web-sites I had ever had the privalidge to of been a member of. You could get what your heart desired on swapitshop.co.uk.
That was in the summer before the great swapping site was taken off-line due to bankrupcy. Now it is filled with swappers who don't send items in and children who don't know what they are doing. For those of you who have never heard of swapitshop or how it works, heres the deal:
You buy things on swapitshop with swapits. To get swapits you have to have swapped something and sent it in to Swapitshop.
Each with their own subsections (i.e Bookshop has fiction and non fiction, musicspace has pop etc.) which lets you narrow the choice down of what you want.
Unfortunately, you don't always get what you expected on each sub-section. recently I found a glitter set under gameboy advance. Thankfully though, if you know exactly what your looking for, there is a search engine to find what you want.Matthew's Guide to swapitshop.com
1: Get something you don't wantAny way back to my opinion...
I personally have had at least 10 items that I have won on the site that have not been sent in. This is all because they have taken old rulings off that meant that if you didn't send your swap in, you were banned (well not actually banned but you had to send your swap in before it would go on the site.)Having to pay double postage links in with the problem of having no swaps sent in. Before, where it would cost 50p to send in a swap, now it will cost £1:00. This is because they now charge for the swaps postage onto the swap winner.
Another problem with new owners was there gittery start. Not answering e-mails, not ending swaps, not giving people all of there swapits back etc. All of those problems seem to be ironed out now and hopefully they will put swapitshop back among the premier websites where it used to be.The new layout of the site is just like the old one and maybe a bit better. It is easy to use and accessable. My mum doesn't like it but I do.

I've always thought ordinary auction sites like eBay are a lot better. Easier and safer. A good opinion though. :) Cheers, James.
