Advantages: Cheapest books available online Disadvantages: Ugly, cumbersome site with little additional information
I read around 70-80 books a year and I suffer from a manic condition whereby I have to own every book I read. As a result I need to find the cheapest but most effective means of feeding my addiction. I don't think Swotbooks stands on its own as a shoppers paradise, but perhaps therein lies the genius of the site owners. You don't go to Swotbooks to research your purchases or to skim some reviews. Amazon remains the best free resource on the net for ... ...ensure that you get what you want for the best price.
I should add the caveat that for brand new hardback books, you should always try bol.com first as they sell special paperback copies of many new releases at 60% off the hardback price. The problem with bol.com is that they have a limited selection. I tend to use swotbooks for those paperbacks that are impossible to find in second-hand bookshops. My friend gave me the adress of this site (www.swotbooks.com) because we had just started university and we had a huge list of books we needed to buy and obviously being student we were poor. So i thought i would have a look not holding out much hope of the site selling books much cheaper than anywhere else but i was in for a surprise. Not only does the site sell new books at a cheap rate but thet also sell second hand books at an even cheaper rate. ... ...computer rates all at cheap prices. If they already have the item in stock then your order should reach you in 3-4 days but if it is temporarily out of stock you will have to wait 14-16 days which still isn't really that long a wait.
The site takes all major credit card including Visa, Master Card, Visa Delta, Switch, JCB and Solo and apparently if you have a jcb card and you spend over £3m on this site then you get a free digger so you best get ...

Advantages: Cheap, quick!!!! Disadvantages: None that i've found so far!
...for delivery and with Swotbooks.com I had the option of £2.40 for books under £50 and free for those over! I opted for the £2.40 range but this was because I was due to be given a book voucher that I ought to spend so thought I’d buy the second book with that!
