...II CF card. The instructions are minimal but in multiple languages. It's soon installed in my Camera (a MInolta Dynax 7D) and I'm firing off test shots. Here lies the first disappointment. Shooting in RAW + JPEG mode, which produces an 8Mb RAW image and a 2Mb JPEG, it's taking nearly 10 seconds to save each shot, a speed of barely 1Mb/sec. This speed apperaed to hold true throughout the range of file-sizes that the camera could create, 5 seconds for a 5Mb file to 2 seconds for a 2Mb file. This apparent sluggishness is likely to be due to my camera, some tests with the card in a USB2 CF card reader indicate that it does manage significatly higher transfer rates when the camera isn't involved. This is a bit of a shame as my camera has barely been on the market for 2 months so I would have hoped they had included some electronics... Read review
