When I first bought my PC I signed up for the Internet using BT Click (one of BT’s ISP’s) - this was about two years ago, and as I joined a BT internet service provider they recommended that I signed up to talk21 for my email.
I have used talk21 ever since, as it’s a great site for email and sending text messages to friends mobile phones.
There’s no problem with file space so even when you leave your account for a while i.e.: to go on holiday the talk21 account will have plenty of space to receive emails while you are away. The site is quick to load, and easy to use so that you can get to your inbox quickly.
Even if you are currently using Outlook Express, or another mail program to read/send your emails then you can find information on the help section of the talk21 site to allow it to receive your talk21 emails. This means that you can also take advantage of the features of your mail program, for example: send and receive file attachments and have them checked for viruses.
Another handy feature is that you can send text messages (or sms) to mobile phones. I use this feature of the talk21 site regularly and have found it to be very quick at sending the messages and very easy to use.
REGISTERING
The Registration process is quite slow, but only asks the usual questions such as, Name, Address through to the usual ”Would you like to receive information from selected partners.” But its worth registering!
THE SITE
At talk21.com you can also find links to other BT sites, which are just as fast as the talk21 site, the links include MUSIC, NEWS, ENTERTAINMENT and many more so it is a good idea to have this site as your homepage. Other email sites such as Hotmail also have this feature though…
ADDRESS BOOK
The Address Book section on talk21 is called ‘Contacts’ and in this section of the site you can keep records of your friends email addresses and store their postal address, phone numbers and nickname. If you often send emails to a group of people then the ‘Groups’ section is very handy.
SMS NOTIFICATION
The SMS notification sends a text message to your mobile when you get a new email, and from scanning through other ciao reviews I hear that this feature is helpful. Although I have never used it because I get far too much email and I doubt my mobile could cope with all the messages – and it would become an annoyance getting texts all the time!
Talk21 is a great website for email and SMS and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a better site for their email.

Great op! You can also get Talk 21 on Sky Digital through your televison.
