Probably the best
Review of telegraph.co.uk by ImogenW

Advantages: Multiple
Disadvantages: Dodgy political leanings

of the websites currently being run by British newspapers, and one that can more than hold its own against the American ones too. The Telegraph is a well designed site that is - crucially for people like me who want to access it abroad - not too graphic heavy, quick to load and rarely down. WHy is it so good? well, here are a few pointers... Design Firstly, it looks great. The yellow and dark blue design looks authoritative and clean (much less ...
...you to see all the main stories at a glance, including football results. Vitally, it's intuitive and navigation easy - they do require you to register and there's an irritating loop which means you can find an article, the be asked to register before you view it and kicked back to the home page to start over. But that aside, it's easy to find your way around and the search facility is excellent - not fussy about caps and like the best search engines, ... Read review

It's Not The Sun (Thank God)
Review of telegraph.co.uk by duffer

Advantages: Excellent reporting and in-depth coverage
Disadvantages: Old news, few photos

The Daily Telegraph is one of the most established online newspapers in the UK, if not THE most established. The quality of reporting is excellent, and the site subdivided into logical categories. All the sections you would expect to find are here, along with a complete archive of stories to enable a reader to catch up on the whys and wherefores of a particular issue. They now have a facility to present updated news during the day, which is starting ... Read review

Respected, authoritative and reliable...
Review of telegraph.co.uk by JVL

Advantages: Reliable and regularly updated news from one of the best newspapers in Britain
Disadvantages: Not what you'd call politically balanced - well, this is The Telegraph!

The Telegraph was one of the first newspapers to provide an online edition of the day's paper, and has been providing an excellent and informative service for several years now. You have to register as a user to be able to access all the pages of the online paper, but once you have done that you can bookmark the pages with your user details for swift access, this avoiding the need to type in your details every time. You are provided with a full ...
...same sections as the printed version - i.e. Front Page, International, Features, Letters, Sport etc. Everything that you would find in the actual Daily Telegraph is there, plus you have the extremely useful search facility that allows you to trawl through the archives to find particular information, and as long as it has appeared in a previous edition of the online paper, you will find what you are looking for. There is also a breaking news page ... Read review

News, cartoons and chocolates
Review of telegraph.co.uk by BigMacMan

Advantages: Free
Disadvantages: Is Middle Wallop a city?

Why bother to buy a national daily newspaper if you have internet access and have the whole thing for free? Well, if you’re at work and taking a 15-minute break, it’s one way of keeping up with the rest of the world in the time-honoured way. Similarly you can read it over breakfast, lunch, on the bus or the tube, as one does, and either leave it behind for someone else to read, or be environmentally friendly and take a walk to the paper bank when ...
...reading a ‘paper’ newspaper instead of off the screen, a number of us would opt for the first. But let’s suppose you’d rather hang on to your 50p (the current Daily Telegraph’ price per issue) and access it online instead. Assuming you are on flat rate (or having a peek at work), what are you getting? Despite its rather staid image, the ‘Telegraph’, or rather the ‘Electronic Telegraph’ was the first of the main daily papers to go online, in November ... Read review

The telegraph newspaper website really is the best newspaper on line by far.The quality and quantity of information available is amazing. when you first log on to www.telegraph.co.uk you are faced with the home page with many links to articles within the paper and also others who choose to advertise with them .There is also a search facility from the home page so this page could be used as the first page loaded by your browser it is that good. ...
...come in . There are separate headings of motoring ,jobs, property ,entertainment in fact all of the content of a normal paid for newspaper. There is even a printable crossword and other puzzles. It is very quick to load and the colour scheme of yellow type on a blue background I find very easy on the eye. There are other sites namely the bbc news site which go into more detail with the news but the telegraph site is a very good all rounder. There ... Read review
