A new service from teletext has become avaliable to anyone in the uk who owns a mobile phone and it`s great, why i here you ask, well for a start its abslutely free, it can be used on any mobile phone on any network and setup only takes about 10 minutes.
What is it?
It is a great new messaging service providing you with information that appeals to you ie:you are at work on a saturday afternoon and your favourite football team is playing but you can`t have a radio on, it dosen`t matter because with teletext you can have goal flashes and/or the final score sent to your phone for free. Another example is your out on a saturday night but are eager to find out if you have won the lottery, well now, with the help of your mobile phone and teletext and a few minutes on their website you can.
How do i get it?
It is simple to get this service, all you have to do is log on to their website at teletext.co.uk,then scroll down until you see a rectangle box on the left hand side of your screen,then you have to register your details by clicking on register, in this box. Finally all you have to do now is click on personalise sms messages and four catergories will come up.
What messages can i get?
The four categories are sport,lottery,news and finance, at the moment sport is just football but you can choose more than one team to recieve goal flashes and/or full time scores. The news is up to four times a day plus you can have news flashes. The lottery is wednesday/saturday`s results.The finance lets you follow the progress of your shares throughout the day, to access any of these messages click on the options which suit you.
What if i want to turn them off?
It is very easy to turn these messages off, just go in to the section from which you are recieving messages and it will show you what they are, click on the remove button and you won`t recieve any more.
