This site is a complete resource for people with mobile phones. It has ringtones, logos, SMS Horoscope, SMS games and more. As I do not have a phone I can't use it to its full potential, but they have one feature that is great. Free text messages (SMS). These are 120 letter long messages that can be send by mobile phones. I have a lot of friends with mobiles and this is a very easy way to communicate with them. They can even reply and I can read it on the website.
If you have a mobile this site is a good extension to it. There are lots of things to customize your phone, a huge selection of ring tones (mostly pop songs) and logos (every thing from bands, company logos, slogans, and funny pics). The ring tones can be listened to online as MIDI files. To download a ring tone costs 50p paid with the credit system (see below). If they don't have what you want you can build your own using their Java composer. You have a folder with your own private tones that you can edit, if they are good you can submit them for the public folder. It is the same with Logos, you can make them with the Java applet. You can also upload GIF files for logos, if you have PhotoShop then that is a much nicer environment to design in.
The site uses a credit system to pay for ring tones and other
services. You can get these by phoning up a special number and putting in your ID. Or you can earn them on the site. If you submit a tone or logo and it is accepted then you get credits. There are also games which let you play for credits.
The site is well designed and laid out. It is easy to find what you are looking for, and there is a lot on it. The big limitation is that you can only send 3 text messages to one phone in a day. This is meant to stop harassment, but there must be a better way. If you want to send more then it costs credits.
Overall, if you have a phone, or just want to send messages, this is a good site to go to. It has loads of features and some stuff is free.
