Textmessnger.co.uk is a great site. It is another site that allows you to send free text messages. The only difference with this one is that you get to have your own address book aswell for those who you send a lot of messages to. I know what your thinking, dooyoo does all this, so why run off somewhere else? Well, textmessenger.co.uk isn’t just text messages.
You can access a range of logo’s, tones and jokes all to send to your phone or someone else’s (Nokia models required for tones and logo’s). You can send as many text messages a day as you like aswell, there is no limit, so you could sit there all day writing messages if you wished to!
You do have to register, but this only takes about 5 minutes and they don’t ask for any personal info either which is always nice! The only thing I don’t like about textmessenger is that you can only send up to 88 characters per message when its usually about 160. However, this is a small price to pay when they are free. Normally a text message would cost you 10-12p from your phone depending on your operator, but this way it is totally free and you don’t have to spend any money on the site. You can spend some money if you want to though and buy yourself new jokes and tones etc, which cost about 50p per tone.
All in all, this is a very good site and caters for most of your text message needs. If you do only want to send messages then I would recommend the dooyoo SMS service but if you want that little bit extra pop to www.textmessenger.co.uk and have a mooch around!
