Like many others, I used to use Yahoo auctions until they closed as they were free, had a large customer base and was basically easy to shift anything and everything - well almost. So you can imagine my annoyance when I discovered it was closing - not by email, but by a small notice on the homepage. I got an email about this site from one of my 'customers' as they had started using the site and thought that others could benfit from another free auction ... ...and ebay does. Each user is given a rating everytime they sell or buy something.You know how when you write to companies online and they take days to reply if they ever do! well these guys are really on the ball and sometimes you even get a reply within minutes.
It WAS FREE to list, FREE to relist and FREE to upload images. There are enhanced options available that can increase the likelyhood of selling your item for a small fee. However, now they ...

It works in the same way that yahoo and ebay does. Each user is given a ... ...you write to companies online and they take days to reply if they ever do! well these guys are really on the ball and sometimes you even get a reply within minutes.

Like thousands of others I use E-Bay, Yahoo, and a couple of smaller auctions. I don't know why but there is something nice about nosing round other folks cast offs looking for a bargain, its a bit like an armchair car boot sale. Any way the point is, if you see something you want you need to be able to bid on it, and this is where 'Theblokeinthepub' lets you down. After the normal regestration process, similar to all the others, recieving their ... ...on an item.... Failed [login invalid], tried again, again and again etc. E-mailed them to try to fix it.... e-mail returned [undeliverable] E-ed again and again all returned except one to which they replied sugesting I logged on to bid !!
All in all a total waste of my time, but what makes me really cross is I still can't bid on something I really want!! I wish I could give more detail but as yet I havenot been able to gain access to the full auction ...
