According to thehungersite.com, about one billion people worldwide suffer from hunger and malnutrition. You can do something to combat this, FOR FREE!

Every time you go online, you should go to the Hunger Site. By spending less than 10 seconds, you can donate food to needy people all over the world. This site allows you to make one donation per day. It is incredibly easy. You don't have to sign up for anything or give them your email address; all you do is click the button that says 'Donate Free Food.' It's that simple.

When you click on the 'Donate Free Food' button, it takes you to a page with ads from various sites that are sponsoring the food donation provided by the Hunger Site. It is probably a good idea to click on at least one of these ads each time you visit the Hunger Site, since ads are what keeps this programme working. The amount of food donated per click varies per day based on how many sponsors there are.

If you would like to donate even more food, you can purchase an attractive t-shirt or 'sweatshirt' (jumper) with the Hunger Site logo printed on it. There is a section for gifts you can buy which include a donation in the price.

There have been articles about this site in newspapers, so I am fairly certain that it is legitimate. But even if this organization does not follow through on its promises, what do you have to lose? Tell all your friends about it, as well.

On the 'Thank You' page with the ads on it, there are also links to other click to donate pages including the Breast Cancer Site, the Rainforest Site, and the Child Health Site.

There is also a web search that donates half a cup of food for each search.

Unless you disable cookies on your browser, the Hunger Site keeps track of how many clicks you have made in the past week and the past year. So you don't forget, I would recommend setting the Hunger Site as your home page.

However, don't let your clicks on the Hunger Site think that you have done enough. Please look into other charities and community service, as well. Another organisation I would recommend is Amnesty International, which I wrote an essay about a few weeks ago.

For many people writing on Ciao, the holiday season involves eating massive amounts of food. Please remember that billions of others in the world are not so lucky.

Happy New Year, and thanks for reading!

Every holiday of the year my Base does a "canned food drive" which I always participate in, donating about 4-6 cans of food. I'm not sure about doing it on the internet, though if you recommend it, then ok...ill check it out sometime....Another informative op here...You really are a great writer!!! Chris xxx
