~product pricing~
Pricing is not really much more than you expect to see on the high street. However as a majority of the products are not readily available on the high street, in comparison to some card/collector online stores they come out tops for value for money.
My son had asked for 2 very specific gifts off me this year - A starter deck of Yu Gi Oh! Cards based on a character in the original series named 'Pegasus' and some form of card/deck protection (ie a box). Brilliant you may say. Yu Gi Ho! Cards are available nearly everywhere right? Well not everywhere like supermarkets and WHSmith stock every starter or booster pack. In fact the Joey Wheeler/Pegasus double starter deck pack did not reach supermarkets/high Street till a few days ago, certainly not in reasonable time for today.
After checking on Ebay (although I actually loathe buying things like this off there) I did a Google product search for Pegasus and Yu Gi Oh! And found one company, theINtoy.co.uk.I found the site clear and easy to navigate, and first, before I ordered, I paid special attention to their 'about us' , 'Terms and Conditions', Shipping and returns, and Privacy pages. There was one thing that struck me, and that was how really nice and accommodating they seemed. Some of it seemed too good to be true, including the company motto (on the About us page)
"The philosophy that started the company, and has been insisted upon by the directors, is simple -- "If I was to order from this company how would I like to be treated?"..."I was skeptical, but sold. I placed an order for the Pegasus deck and a container for my son to keep them in.
As per their word communication was brilliant, I received an email saying the order had been dispatched. However apparently 1 email never made it through, one telling me the container I had ordered had only one in stock, and that was damaged. None the wiser, I received the cards a couple of days later and wondered where the container was!A quick email to TheINtoy quickly resolved the matter. A lovely (I presume) customer services person quickly chased up the problem and I was shipped a similar item with as quick haste as the cards. I was offered a refund, however I could see it was a genuine and understandable error (emails do go missing in my yahoo account for some reason) and I actually didn't want my son disappointed.
I can honestly say, hand on heart, this company has delivered every single one of its promises, and with 5 children who all like to play these games, and a active interent between my partner and I for Magic: the gathering, I can (and have) placed this company on my favourites list ready for future purchases.
